Valorant Has The Best Gaming Community

November 27, 2021 by Pam Maynard

In June this year, Valorant completed one year anniversary; Riot Games developer of this free to play first-person shooter game proclaimed the game to be super-hit.

On a monthly average of fourteen million PC players log in across the world to play this game, accumulatively, they have completed over half a billion matches in the first year. For evaluation, the Counter-Strike; Global Offensive (CSGO) game has attracted over twenty-seven million players in the last month.

So in the first year of publication, Valorant has got half of the number of players of CSGO, a game prevailing for over two decades. Counter-Strike was launched in 1999, followed by many versions; the latest is CSGO, published in 2012. By any parameter, it is an achievement for Valorant.

Valorant is the second published title

To celebrate the anniversary, Riot also declared the launch of Valorant Mobile, though without any facets. If the mobile version becomes, effective Valorant would be the only competitive first-person shooter game with a mobile version.

Valorant is the second game published by Riot Game since its first title, ultra-popular League of Legends, in 2009. The first title gave some lessons to the developer. To make the game trendy and immersive, it needs a rock-solid foundation, map design, balance, character selection are accessories.

Competitive integrity is the hallmark of the game; the program makes you feel it is your error if something goes wrong in the match. If you win, it is your achievement; if you lose, it belongs to you only. An aggressive anti-cheat system incorporated in Valorant and dynamic game deployment is a measure to reduce latency.

The game design of Valorant is a mimic of existing competitive first-person shooter games mingled with some innovations. The gameplay deployed shows functionality is more crucial than novelty.

Regular updates

Valorant has an updated schedule every fortnight to resolve several small issues; a big update is scheduled before every episode. Each episode is made up of three Acts (ranked seasons). The developer has performed this update schedule since the launch of the game on 2nd June 2020. It is worth to mention more patches are required since the game was published one year ago.

The foremost skill to survive and thrive in a first-person shooting game is to shoot accurately; Valorant Aimbot from Lavicheats comes with the best feasible accuracy algorithm.  If your gunpowder is enough, everything falls in the right place. Godly nades, a feature in Valorant, are the exception.

The absence of multiple practices PvP modes is a deterrent; availability of this would make this game more engrossing and maintain the player base. In MMO games, a discussion between the developer and the community is an essential part of the sustenance of the game.

Riot Games have taken the initiative since the launch of the game. Patch 3.08, the latest update, brought back the skin level variety, which was demanded by the community for a long time, but with rejoices, a new set of bugs has been set free.

Game balancing is another aspect that needs attention from the developer. If not readdressed, the player base will continue to shrink; a good instance is PUBG. Maps are essential; balancing the game is a responsibility, but thoughtfulness to enhance the quality of life of the player base is most crucial to surviving in the cutthroat gaming industry.

Most toxic community

Unfortunately, Valorant has the most toxic community, where 83% of adult gamers were abused online. According to a recent study, this behavioural aspect continues for two consecutive years.

The research was conducted by Anti-Defamation League; the paper exhibits overwhelming 79% of Valorant gamers received some kind of online maltreatment while playing the game. Dota2 FPS game community is in second place, with 78% of players receiving online harassment.

Due to this trouble, 42% of Valorant players have either quit or become more vigilant. This behaviour aspect of the community is well above average. The number of players saying goodbye to this game for this abusive attitude is also inching up for the second year, up to 27% this year from 22% the previous year; this statistic is provided by gameindustry.biz.

In demographic terms, women players faced more online abuse than males; 49% of female players reported some kind of online harassment. Contrary, Minecraft have the least number of problems within their community; even so, reported harassment case was 46% of the gamers.

The second most abused group was Black or African players; 42% of the class admitted being abused by other players while playing Valorant. Asian Americans follow the list with 38%, Muslim players with 26%, Latinx at 25%, disabled players at 24% and Jewish players at 22%.

74%of the respondents remained anonymous while online gaming to avert abuses. Among two thousand two hundred US gamers, the survey was conducted who are at or below the age of forty-five and indulges in online gaming; five hundred fifty of the respondents were between thirteen to seventeen age.
