Everyone that loves to journal needs their own Leather Journal! I have many cutesy flowery, sentimental and journals with scriptures on each page that I love. But, nothing beats the feel and smell of holding this leather journal. The earthy smell and feel of this Leather Journal by Rustico brought me back to my childhood and the smell of the leather saddle on our pony Dancer. Being six and riding on Dancer was one of the most memorable days of my young childhood. Mainly because she bucked me off the back. But I didn’t give up! I got back on a few more times and got thrown off a few more times. I didn’t get hurt, but I did learn a valuable lesson. Don’t get on a pony when your brother is poking sticks at her from behind.
I love the quality of the paper. it is thick and lightly lined. On those days when I just feel like doodling, the lines won’t get in the way. The leather wrap-tie closure is my favorite part of the journal. It gives it a unique look, unlike any other journals I have seen. Of course, I love having my initials on it so my son and hubby can’t steal it from me.
This would make a wonderful Birthday gift, Mother’s Day gift or Anniversary gift for the writer or doodler in your family. My husband loves journals and has collected many over the years. He is very impressed with the quality of my journal so I think I know what he is getting for his Birthday in May!
