The world as we know it seems to be opening back up more. My children will be going back to in person learning this fall. I have gone back to work in office after working from home 15 months. My husband never stopped working from the office. That’s 6 people that we have going back out into society. We have a stock of cleaning supplies and masks for the kids for school. My Thoughts on Violux Luma Pro
The Luma Pro from Violux takes up a little bit of counter space but I can put all of my daily use items in it at once. It weighs about 25 lbs. and is 16 inches wide. Luma Pro comes with an app. You place the grates in (careful not to scratch the interior), plug the system into an outlet, download the app and start the synching and setup. We named ours Santi the Sanitizer. Downloading the app and syncing up the system was super easy. I placed my masks, keys, and sunglasses in for our first cleaning cycle. 1 minute later and the cleaning cycle was all done and I was ready to head out the door.
The Luma Pro UV-C sanitizer has a sleek, modern design. It looks like a fancy mini-fridge or toaster oven. The stainless steel gives it a nice look but I’m constantly wiping smudgy finger prints off of it. My 4 year old kept pulling the door on it open, so I wish it had a child safety lock or latch or something. She now knows that she doesn’t mess with Santi. As a parent, I am in in different rooms of the house all through out the day. When a cleaning cycle is done the Violux app notifies me that the cleaning is complete. You can do either the 1 minute clean or double it but you don’t have the option to increase the time but you can run cycles as many times as you would like I guess. My teens were also impressed with Santi and ran a cycle for their iPhones and their PS4 controllers along with their masks from school. My 13 year old even went to school talking about Santi with his science teacher and now she is interested in getting one for her classroom. The Luma Pro comes with a bit of a hefty price tag but if it can cut down on our sick visits to the doctor by allowing us to disinfect our high touch items then it helps pay for itself in the end. I will be glad to spend less time at the doctor’s offices and risking picking up even more germs to bring back home.
