Let’s take a look at some of our favorite games for family game night.

About Ultra PRO

Ultra PRO International LLC (“Ultra PRO”) is the leading manufacturer and supplier of sports and gaming collectibles accessories, photo and scrapbooking albums and pages and Ultra Sleeves™, a line of disposable, protective sleeves for computer tablets. They have been designing and manufacturing top quality products since 1952, and have been recognized for its high quality standards and design innovations.

Some of our favorite Games for the Family Game Night from Ultra PRO Games:

Burger Academy

This game is all about following directions. Think flipping burgers is pretty easy? The goal is to recreate the burger image on your card. You will bid to see who can complete the challenge in the fewest moves! The player that bids the lowest number of moves has to attempt to flip their burger.

Inside the game box you will find 19 Foam Burger Parts, 50 Burger Cards, 40 French Fry Cards, 1 Fry Holder, 6 Dials, 4 Plate Cards, and the Rule sheet. Burger Academy is rated for ages 8 and up. The game takes about 20 minutes to complete.

Pass the Pandas

This game is fast pace and exciting. The challenge is to be the first players to get rid of all of your dice. When roll of the dice will show pandas, bamboo, or water drops. If a panda is rolled, you can pass those dice to other players. Roll bamboo and you force the next player to match (or exceeded!) the same number (or they get your bamboo dice). If water is rolled, they are discarded out of play. If you roll blank dice, they can’t be used and are kept for next turn. Play continues around the the table until someone is able to get rid of all their dice.

Inside the game box you will find 20 Custom Dice and Game Instructions. Pass the Pandas is rated for ages 6 and up. The game takes about 15 minutes to play.

Ascension: Eternal

This game is the latest version of Ascension. It continues to build on the 10 year success of Ascension in the hobby/enthusiast market. Ascension Eternal is a fast paced deckbuilding game. In this game, players draw from the pile of cards and have to build and strengthen their hand or attack monsters to build their winning Honor score. Logic and strategy are a large part of this game. Each game set is for 2 players, however you can add other sets together for additional players and challenges.

Inside the game box contains 122 Cards, 20 Honor Tokens, and the game board. Ascension: Eternal is rated for ages 10 and up. The game takes about 20 minutes to play.

Geek Out Family

This game will test your knowledge on pop culture subjects. Players draw a card and will either select or be assigned a category. The challenge is read out loud and the bidding begins. Once the first player makes their bid, the next player has the opportunity to increase the bid. This process goes around the table until all but one player has declined. Then the highest bidder must complete the challenge. If they are successful, their position is moved forward on the board. If not, they are moved backwards.

In this trivia party game topic categories include Science, Music, History, Pop Culture, and more. Inside the game box you will find 144 list cards with over 740 topics, chips, colored die, a gameboard, and game instructions. Geek Out Family is rated for ages 8 and up. The game takes about 30 minutes to play.

Say What You Meme

This game is based on the funny memes you see on social media. Players combine hilarious images and witty text. Each round you will create your own meme based on the hashtag drawn. Players vote on the funniest one giving that one the win. Contents include over-sized 150 image cards, 150 hashtags on 25 hashtag cards, 8 dry erase boards, 8 dry erase markers, and the rule book.

Say What You Meme is rated for ages 8 and up. The game takes about 30 minutes to play.

LookSee

This family game is fast paced but so much fun. First you roll the dice and then you have to figure out the missing number and what color you are going to be searching for on the card. First person to find it wins. Sounds simple enough, but don’t be mistaken. The adults may figure out the missing number and color first, but those quick little eyes of the kids can spot the item on the card in a heartbeat! If you are the first one to grab the card you win that round and play continues until someone has 7 cards.

Inside the game box you will find custom dice, play cards, and rule guide. LookSee is rated for players 8 years and up but it would be a great team game with an older child or parent and a little one. Play time is about 15 minutes per game.

My Thoughts

Family game night is a tradition in a lot of homes. But like our home, the age spread of the children often made it hard for everyone to participate. I am always on the look out for games that everyone can play or at least ones that can be played by teaming up an older person with a younger one.
Games for the Family Game Night from Ultra PRO Games

That’s what I like about these games from Ultra Pro. They can be played in about 15 minutes for an average game and can be played with as few as two players. But, you can team up on most of them and have a great family challenge. Another thing that I like about these games are that they are small enough to carry with you and play while visiting someone or while waiting for your food at a restaurant. While not quite as small as a travel game, they are small enough to grab and go which is great for those times you are stuck waiting with little ones.

If you are looking for new and exciting games, add these to your games for the family game night from Ultra Pro!
