Toddlers Rock & Roll with Strider 12 Sport 2-in-1 Rocking Bike #Megachristmas20

October 17, 2020 by Emily Krause

Disclosure Statement for Mom Does Reviews

One of the hardest tasks as a parent is teaching your kids to ride a bike with no training wheels. With our oldest, we tried and failed several times before she finally figured it out at age 6. The technique that finally helped her learn was lowering the seat of her regular bike so she could treat it like a balance bike. We could have avoided all of that struggle if we had known about Strider Bikes. Strider Bikes teach kids at a young age about balance and bike-riding skills so that they feel confident on a bike and enjoy the process.

Our family is excited to use the Strider 12 Sport 2-in-1 Rocking Bike to teach our 3-year-old and 8-month-old to balance and feel comfortable on their bikes much earlier. Pretty soon we’ll have a family full of bike riding enthusiasts!

Strider Bike

Before choosing a bike for kids, bike size chart kids will help you a lot to get the perfect bike. It will be easy to get the actual size bike. If the bike seat is high rather than the kids height it will be uncomfortable riding all the time. Be educated on this part before buying a bike for your loving kids.

ABOUT STRIDER BIKE

Strider Bike is a company that believes there’s a better way than tricycles and training wheels to get kids comfortable on bikes. They follow the principles of starting young and teaching balance first to make the process smoother and more enjoyable for both kids and parents.

“At Strider, we love riding bikes, and we love inspiring kids to ride.

Our mission is to build lightweight, efficient, all-terrain bikes that develop two-wheeled balance, coordination, and confidence in children.” – Strider Bike Website

Strider Bike has options for babies, toddlers, and kids ages 3-7. Babies can start with a rocking bike that detaches from the base when the baby is ready. Toddlers can use the 12″ balance bike to learn the basics. Little kids can use the 14″ balance bike that turns into a pedal bike to smoothly transition into the next stage of bike riding.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE 2-IN-1 ROCKING BIKE

The Strider Rocking Base works with the 12″ Strider Sport Balance Bike for babies from ages 6 months-18 months. Once the baby is ready, you can detach the bike from the base so they can start learning to stride independently on their bike.

We have 4 kids and struggled to teach our 2 oldest to ride their bikes, so we’re thrilled to have the Strider Bike to use with our youngest two to simplify the process.

The setup was fairly easy and quick, and it’s simple to move on and off the rocking base. I love that the handlebars and seat are adjustable so that we can let the baby use the Strider Bike on the rocking base, then make the proper adjustments so that our 3-year-old can ride the bike outside.

We introduced our 3-year-old to the detached Strider 12″ Sport, and he took to it right away. After a few minutes of showing him how to stand and walk, then sit and walk, and finally to glide on the bike, he got the hang of it. Now the only problem is getting him off the bike when it’s time to go inside!

The bike has build-in footrests so once your child learns how to glide, they can put their feet up and enjoy the ride.

I can’t tell you how amazing it is as a parent to watch how quickly our 3-year-old learned to balance on his bike. He loves gliding around the driveway keeping up with his older siblings on his Strider 12″ Sport Balance Bike. I know when we’re ready to introduce pedals it will be a breeze!

ROCKING BASE FOR BABIES

Our youngest is a petite 7-month-old, and we love the Strider Rocking Base so that we can start getting her comfortable with a bike early! She’s just learning to sit up without support, so holding onto the bars of the Strider Bike in its base is the perfect transition for her.

She loves rocking on the bike, and I love that she’ll be comfortable on a bike before she can even walk!

Strider Bikes are perfect gifts for kids who are part of active families, or even expecting parents who live an active lifestyle and hope to take their babies along on their adventures!  From infants to preschool-age kids, Strider Bikes have something for everyone!
