Men’s footwear – something for everyone
It is more important to look for quality and comfort when choosing your footwear than
any of your other clothes. Your shoes will have to face all the elements,
supporting you wherever you walk, be it on pavements on the way to work or
across wet and muddy fields at the weekends. Comfort is key – uncomfortable
shoes will not only hold you up but can also restrict the way you move.
Shoes that are smart and practical for work and
home are a great asset to your wardrobe. Having one pair for two purposes, of
course, represents great value and with more classic designs now having
practical features such as robust, rugged soles and a range of width fittings, you’ll
find whatever you choose is as versatile as you need it to be. Black shoes are
always smart but brown is great too, not only looking good with jeans but also
with polo shirts and mens waterproof jackets for a smarter occasion. Other styles come in a
range of colours – the more adventurous among you might even like to track down
some pink desert boots!
In all this wintery weather, you’ll probably find some waterproof boots a useful
addition to your wardrobe too. Wellies
are fine and do the job of keeping your feet dry but, as we all know, they’re
not exactly warm. All-weather boots, on the other hand, are not only waterproof
but also have the addition of ultra–warm faux fur linings. They also fasten
up, either with a zip or laces, keeping out the drafts and creating a smarter
appearance. Their rugged soles mean you won’t slip over in mud or snow and they
also come in a range of colours.
It’s also worth looking out for casual waterproof boots which have a more
trainer-like appearance and look great in the spring and summer too. While
these don’t tend to have cosy linings, you can always team them with some
thermal or fleece socks to keep your feet warm. These kind of boots offer great
support and breathability too so it’s worth thinking about your hobbies and
lifestyle when working out which style of outdoor boot is right for you.
Good quality shoes make so many aspects of your life easier. With just a few
well-chosen pairs, you’ll be ready for a business meeting, a family lunch, a
country walk or even a snowball fight!
