Review by Mom Does Reviews:
Do you remember the days of the hot water bottles? My Mom used to give me a hot water bottle when I was sick. It cured anything that ailed me. She would heat the water in the teakettle until it was almost boiling, pour it in, screw the plug in and wrap it in a soft towel. I used to get leg cramps and belly cramps and that hot water bottle was the best thing ever.
Fast forward a few years to the age of electric heating pads, microwaveable heating pads and temporary hot packs and icy hot patches. I love my microwave beads heating pads. They come in different shapes and sizes. But, the Heart Water Bottle from Warm Traditions comes in one size with a super soft cover and fuzzy socks to match. I filled my water bottle with very hot tap water, careful not to overfill it. I made sure that I squeezed the air out of the bottle and inserted the stopper and tightened it. I pulled the cover back up and put it in the small of my back. Hmmmm. It was so nice, perfectly warm and perfected shaped for the small of my back. There is something about the heat from a water bottle that feels more calming and gentle then the microwave heating pads. The heat gently warms and relaxes tired, achy muscles. I was so surprised that it felt so nice. I wasn’t sure I would want to give up my microwave heating pads.
These hot water bottles are also great for menstrual cramps, feet warming (especially when you first get into bed at night), tummy ache soother for your little one and can even keep you warm during outdoor winter activities! I may send one to my brother-in-law to take ice fishing.
I highly recommend Warm Traditions Hot Water bottles for anyone who needs some warming or pain relief. They get 2 big thumbs up from me! Be sure to check out all the cool designs in covers and shapes for anyone on your Valentine’s Day list!
Here are instructions for filling a hot water bottle-
How to fill your hot water bottle:
Step 1: Unplug the stopper and empty any existing water from the hot water bottle
Step 2: Use your kettle to heat the water. Alternatively, you can run your hot tap water until it reaches its hottest temperature. Do not use boiling water.
Step 3: Hold the hot water bottle by its neck or place in a hot water stand. Fill carefully to a maximum of 2/3 to prevent any water from splashing. If you have a hot water bottle with a cover on it, pull the cover away from the opening before spilling.
Step 4: Gently squeeze the bottle until water appears at the neck then insert the stopper and tighten. Hold the bottle upside down to ensure that it is sealed properly. If your hot water bottle does not have a cover you may wrap it in a fresh, dry towel before using.
