We recently enjoyed watching the 25th anniversary edition of THE SWAN PRINCESS and let me tell you that our little one never looked away from the screen! She was so involved in the story line and has been talking about the movie ever since. Of course dressing up as Princess Odette helps keep her excitement up!

In the newest film in the series, the favorite princesses are back in an all new feature-length musical adventure. Princess Odette is hosting a music competition to celebrate Princess Alise’s birthday. The winner will sing at her grand birthday ball. Prince Li of Cathay has entered, but his sister Princess Mei Li has stowed away on his ship. She is seeking help from Odette and Derek for Chen, who has been cursed to live as a dragon. Lucas and Alise are reunited but Prince Li’s arrival makes Alise doubt her feelings. While Li and Lucas fight for Alise’s heart, Derek and Odette try to help Mei Li and Chen break the curse. Who will win the music festival? And will Chen ever be free from his curse?
Included with the Kingdom of Music DVD are interactive two sing along featuring all-new toe-tapping tunes from the film. As well as a behind-the-scenes featurette that explores how the world and characters of the film were brought to life.
My Thoughts
Okay, who doesn’t love a story about a princess! Add in the battle of good vs evil and the hope of a happy ending. In the remastered 25th Anniversary edition, the animation is vivid and the music just draws you into the story. Will Princess Odette be able to reverse the spell that was placed on her? Will true love win over evil? While some of the topics are well over the understanding of our little one, she loves the movie. We have watched it several times, often in the same day.
