Our family is always on the go. I’m a mom of 3 with a 4th baby on the way who also happens to be a travel writer. When I’m not shuttling kids to and from school I’m running errands, taking kids to the park, or heading on a road trip with kids in tow to explore a new city. I’m always on the lookout for the best travel stroller that will work just as well at Disney as it will school dropoff. Baby Trend’s Tango Travel System is the easiest system for moms in motion that also comes with features that make a modern parent’s life easier.
About Baby Trend Tango Travel System
Baby Trend has distinguished itself among the worldwide leading manufacturers of juvenile products. Throughout the 30 year history of our company, we have been on the forefront of new and innovative solutions that meet the ever increasing demands of new parents.
Baby Trend’s commitment to innovative solutions for parents is evident in the Tango Travel System. The stroller is lightweight and compact with a one-hand fold feature. I’ve had so many strollers in my 6 years of being a parent, and none has been able to keep up with the changing size of today’s cell phones. The Tango Travel System has a cell phone positioner that holds smartphones both vertically and horizontally. Don’t forget about cupholders! There are 2 flex-grip cupholders on top of the stroller.
Parents aren’t the only ones who will be pleased with this stroller’s features. Babies and toddlers will ride in comfort with UPF 50+ protection from the sun’s rays and lots of comfortable padding.
Baby Trend’s Tango Travel System also comes with the Ally Infant Car Seat and base for infants from 4-35 pounds. According to the website, “The Ally™ features higher, deeper side wings with EPS foam for optimal side impact protection, a 5-point safety harness and a 4-position height-adjustable base.”
Baby Trend’s Tango Travel System Stroller Review
Features for Mom
As I mentioned earlier, I’m a family travel writer who often travels alone with the kids, so ease of set up and maneuverability are important to me. It was so quick and simple to set up the stroller, and even easier to collapse it. When the description says it has a one-hand fold feature, it’s not exaggerating! All I had to do was pull the red handle hidden under the seat cushion, and the stroller was ready to store in the trunk of our car. I’m often wrangling little kids in a busy parking lot with one hand while setting up the stroller with the other.
I also appreciate how compact the stroller is in the folded-up position. When you’re got suitcases in the trunk, even in the trunk of a minivan, every bit of space counts! This lightweight stroller also maneuvers easily with one hand.
When the new baby is born in a few months, I know how easily the Ally Infant Car Seat will click into the stroller, making those daily school dropoffs and pickups a breeze if the baby falls asleep in the car.
My absolute favorite part of this stroller is the cell phone holder. It seems like such a small detail, but with every other stroller I’ve tried, I’ve had to store my phone in the storage basket, making it difficult to grab a quick picture, change my podcast or music, or respond to a text. This stroller has a cell phone positioner that holds every size of the smartphone available today in either portrait or landscape.
The flex-grip cupholders are a great feature, too. Living in Florida, I never leave home without a water bottle for everyone in the family. The cupholders are perfect for storing any size cup or bottle we’re toting with us. And, hey! I can imagine how much I’ll need coffee in those cupholders once the new baby is born. We’ll soon be going through those newborn sleepless nights!
I can’t forget the storage space at the bottom! I’ve never had a stroller with front access to the storage basket, and I love having that option. Thankfully there’s plenty of space to store even my largest diaper bag.
Features for Kids
Right now I’m still a few months out from having our 4th baby, so I love that the Tango Travel System still works for a toddler. The seat is super padded and comfortable, and I love how far it leans back. I immediately thought of using this stroller for a day at Disney World I have coming up with my 2-year-old. It will be so much easier to get him to nap midday in this stroller. There’s also a snack tray for kids with cupholders, so parents have the option to feed kids on-the-go.
The canopy is extra-long and protects kids from the sun’s harmful rays. As Florida residents, this is extra important to us year-round. Whether we’re exploring a new city or walking through our neighborhood, we need that SPF!
Finally, the Tango Travel System and the Ally Infant Car Seat are made with safety in mind. The foam padding and 5-point harness offer extra protection for my most precious cargo.
A Perfect Christmas Gift
The Baby Trend Tango Travel System is a wonderful Christmas gift for on-the-go moms. If you know an expecting mother, or a mom of young kids who needs some ease in her life when it comes to transporting her baby or toddler, try this lightweight stroller!
