It’s fair to say that we all want to know when our family members are safe, but more importantly when they are not. But how do we get this peace of mind? Let’s talk about the new Moxee™ Signal by KonnectONE which just rolled out on the market. This little device isn’t dependent on being able to get to their cell phone. Peace of mind or the knowledge that help is on the way is only a button click away.

Moxee™ Signal
The Moxee™ Signal is small device that connects you with preset contacts. It allows for easy check in for family members. Or a request for contact should the user feel uncomfortable. And when needed, an all out call for emergency help including their location and audio for emergency services.
Currently, the Moxee Signal is available in T-Mobile stores within the United States. For more information and to check availability in your area, visit a local T-Mobile store in person or online.
Our mission at KonnectONE is to create high-quality and reliable products and services that keep people connected in meaningful ways, said Joe Phillips, Chairman of KonnectONE. From monitoring aging parents, to knowing your teenagers are okay, to working remotely or independently, to feeling safe while out for a run at night, Moxee Signal is designed to help millions of people feel safer, stay connected to their loved ones, and get peace of mind.
Using the Moxee™ Signal
The device pairs with an app on your (or other family members) phone and can be found in the Apple and Google Play stores. Once you have installed and set up the app, you are ready go.
There are four (4) types of check in and alerts built into the Moxee Signal.
Using the app:
Location tracking: Request the location from within the Moxee App to ping the device. The location of the Moxee Signal will show up on the app. The device is not triggered or alerted to this location ping.
Using the device:
Green or All Good Alerts
To check in or let those using the App know that everything is okay. The user simply presses the button once to let those in their circle know that they have arrived safely, or that they are up and about as in the case of an elderly parent.
Yellow or Warning Alerts
When a user wants to let their circle know that something isn’t right or they feel uncomfortable, they simply press the button on the device twice. This sends their contact list their location and a short audio clip to help understand the reason for the alert. Members of the contact list will be able to chat with each other to determine what response is needed or to sound the all clear once the concern has been addressed.
Red or Emergency Alerts
When a user needs assistance immediately and feels they are in danger or hurt, they press the button three times. Those in the contact circle will receive the information included in the yellow or warning alert and the alert details will trigger the Moxee Professional Monitoring Service. Once activated, the monitoring service can dispatch the emergency services as necessary.
My Thoughts:
The applications for the Moxee™ Signal may be real game changers in many lives. The basic idea is to provide peace of mind for individuals, particularly those that may otherwise be vulnerable. Think about someone that lives or travels alone, or an early morning runner. How about an elderly parent living alone or a young person that has sports events or walks home from class.
The device is small enough to slip into a pocket or it can be clipped to a purse, bag, or backpack. The unit also comes with a lanyard that can be worn tucked in or out of a shirt.
We have been having our tweens use it when they travel from home to a friend’s house. They don’t have a cell phone, and with the device they don’t have to ask to use the phone (or even go inside), but can let us know they have arrived safely.
I have been wearing it when I take the dog for a walk. And while I may have my cell phone with me, should something happen I can press the button on the device without pulling out my phone or letting anyone know that I have signaled for help.
We all know someone that could benefit from having the peace of mind using the Moxee Signal. This holiday season make sure to add this device to your shopping list for those that need the extra protection.
