As much as we love our dogs, they can really stink! And while I enjoy being outside with them, the scent that lingers after they come inside is well, unpleasant. Having tried several things without sucess, I am excited to share a little information about a product that will make you enjoy cuddling your dogs more. My Thoughts
I appreciate how the founders tackled a real world problem for dog owners. That outside scent should stay outside! It doesn’t matter how often we bathe or take our dogs to the groomers. Let them be outside in the warm sun…and whew! Let’s just say they stink. And who wants to have to bathe their dog everyday? I know I don’t. However, I don’t want to hold my breath when cuddling our dogs either.
All of the K9 Colognes are made from natural products and have pure essential oils that are unprocessed and unrefined. I think this is important because the health of our dogs is something we take seriously. Knowing the ingredients are pure and won’t harm them, really elevates the trust in the brand. And that makes these awesome gift ideas for our friends that have dogs too!
Our Favorite K9 Cologne Scents
The K9 Cologne is a great way to freshen up the scent of our dogs in between baths and groomer appointments. Each bottle is a special blend of essential oils. Some of our favorites are the Blooms which is a blend of rose and geranium; Rain wish is a blend of rain water, sandalwood, and bergamot; and Woods which is a blend of cedarwood, vanilla, and vetiver.
The Blooms and Rain are both light and fresh smelling scents. They are not overwhelming or have that lingering cover up odor. The Woods is a heavier warm scent that reminds me of being on a trail in the woods after a light rain.
Our Furbabies
I had to laugh at the picture above. Poor Ham (yes one of our dogs is named Ham after Noah). He does NOT like having things sprayed on him. Doesn’t matter what it is. He is giving me the evil eye while waiting to see what I am going to do with the bottle in my hand. So, in order to get him to allow me to apply the K9 Cologne, I simply spray a couple of pumps into my palm and rub it between his shoulder blades. He loves being rubbed and brushed so this really feels like a treat to him.
Our other dogs are Sutton and Harrison. Sutton loves being groomed and even allows the little ones to put bows and hair clips on her. Harrison on the other hand is too busy to sit still for long. He is also our roll in anything he can find that stinks in the yard. This guy has to get a bath more often than he should but using the K9 Cologne has really helped make him smell better.
