I’m that mom that always has a camera in her hand. MY REVIEW OF THE EPSON PREMIUM XP-6100
The first thing I noticed about this printer was the size. We are renters, and currently do not have a lot of storage space or even counter space in our home. The fact that the Epson Premium XP-6100 didn’t take up too much space was a huge plus for me. The paper trays actually slide into the bottom of the printer rather than sticking out of top which also helps save space when you’re not using it.
Setup was a breeze. We read the simple instructions included with the printer and followed the prompts on the display screen with no issues. It is important to read the instructions, too, because there are different spots to put the different types of paper you will be using, whether that’s regular A4 size paper or specialty photo paper.
The very first thing I did once the printer was set up was connect my phone wirelessly to print one of the thousands of photos I have saved. As a travel blogger, I have family memories from so many destinations on my phone that end up living online, but never in our house. I decided to print out one of our most recent family photos from a trip to Nashville so we could frame it and add it to our gallery wall.
My youngest son is 2, and up until printing this photo from my phone with the Epson Premium XP-6100, we had absolutely no printed photos of him displayed in the house. The photo printed relatively quickly for an 8×10 color photo, and came out looking crisp and clear.
I did notice that the ink cartridges needed for this printer are certainly not cheap, but rest assured that your cartridges will last for a long time and many printed photos.
WHAT WE USE THE EPSON PREMIUM XP-6100 FOR
Aside from printing family photos, we’ve recently been using the printer for different tasks. In addition to writing and blogging, I stay home with my children during the day. When my 4-year-old comes home from preschool midday, I love spending quality one-on-one time with him while the toddler naps. Lately we’ve been printing out worksheets and coloring pages and working on them together. I noticed that printing regular pages is, naturally, a lot quicker than printing photos, and virtually silent! My little guy loves running to the printer to fetch the paper.
Connecting my laptop required a little bit of instalation, but it was covered in the instruction manual and super easy to do.
I’m also looking forward to printing out personalized chore charts and daily routine sheets for the kids as we get into the groove of the 2019-2020 school year.
IN SUMMARY
I can certainly see our family doing a much better job at keeping up with current printed photos now that we have the Epson XP-6100. Taking photos and making memories is so important to me, and now we’ll finally have evidence of that in our home!
The Epson Expression Premium XP-6100 is perfect for any moms that love to display photos of their kids, but don’t have the time, energy, or inclination to run to the store or go through the process of ordering them online. They say September is the new January, so it’s the perfect time to refresh your decor with current photos of your family in the frames around your house.
