This summer you will want to have activities, toys, and games in place to keep boredom at bay. As moms we have all heard the “I’m bored” whine from our children during the summer. I tend to give them chores when they are bored, but how about a sweet answer instead. This time when they complain about boredom bring out a Foodie Roos, Fryin Flyin Donut game, or Cutie Stix to combat boredom with fun activities to pass the time. Maya Toys and Maya Games really capture the sweet treats of summer with food being a theme of all these cool toys and games.
About Foodie Roos
Foodie Roos, the latest collectible plush from Maya Toys really steals the cake, with toys that look, smell, and even feel like real food. Series 1 has 20 deliciously scented Foodie Roos you can collect including treats like cookies, cereal, gummies, and popcorn. There are two collectible critters per every yummy snack, and you won’t know which one it is until you pop the top open. Plus there are two rare varieties that can be in any container. Once you open your Foodie Roos, you can use included stickers to decorate the container which becomes their room.
Mom’s Thoughts on Foodie Roos
These Foodie Roos were really fun to open and experience. They are adorable toys that smell really wonderful, and they look like the food they represent, and even feel like it. My daughter opened one first and got the rare sugarphant, that is an elephant that smells like sprinkles and sugary treats. It feels like there are actual sprinkles inside the plush too. Then I opened one, and got the Whale-Ade in my Juice container. This adorable whale is now in my car making the whole car smell like lemon. When you shake it you can hear actual liquid inside. The cereal one is crunchy like cereal, and the popcorn feels light and textured like popcorn. This summer collect them all and open them one at a time during moments that need a little boost of sweet summer fun!
About Fryin Flyin Donuts
The Fryin Flyin Donuts game from Maya Games is a sweet, action packed game where you fry and fly all your donuts into the baker’s box to win. You will need strategy and maybe a little luck to win this fun, feverish paced game. First you fry and hook your largest donut, then your middle sized, last get your little donut hooked first to win. Plus you can make up your own rules if you chose to vary your experience.
Mom’s Thoughts
This game is so fun, and cute with the pretty mesh donuts. I got a kick out of watching my 4 year old niece play this over and over again. She plays her own way and that is just fine, because it still keeps her busy. It was easy to put together, then I popped some batteries in and it was game on! Her older brothers enjoyed it too. Now my niece asks her mom all the time to play with the donuts.
About Cutie Stix: Jewelry Maker
Cutie Stix: Jewelry Maker from Maya Toys is a cool way for your children to make custom jewelry out of colorful two sided beads. This summer they can wear bracelets they design themselves with cute beads that look like emojis, cupcakes, rainbows, and cute animals. The set comes with a cutting unit, a coring unit, 2 cutting frames, 15 stix, and the other necessary items.
You pick your stix, cut them into smaller beads, core the center to make it possible to thread them with string or join them together with connectors. Then you just make your own custom bracelets, necklaces, and even little creature creations. The combinations are fun to create, and even more fun to wear.
Mom’s Thoughts
My daughter and I think her Cutie Stix: Jewelry Maker is great fun. All the different stix had us oohing and ahhing, because they are so cute. My favorite is the jellyfish. She cut several different stix, and we were able to lay them out the way she liked best. Then we cored them and strung them as a bracelet. The actual stix remind us both of erasers in texture and consistency. The cutter and corer work very well, and have safety precautions so little fingers cannot get hurt. The corer will not work with the door open. These safety features are so reassuring, so all ages can use this Jewelry Maker. We still have stix left, so this summer we can revisit it and make more jewelry and little creatures. Plus you can get more stix in other themes. They are all so cute, it will be hard to pick the next set.
I know these great Maya Toys and Maya Games will make summer great for us this year. I hope they will give you a sweet summer as well, and the boredom bus can drive on past your house. These great finds will bring hours of enjoyment to your children.
