Meet the founder and creator of The Night Sky –
I’m Ciara – aka Disco ?? I’m a style obsessed, husband challenged, mother of 3 precious girls.
My husband travels a lot! When putting our children to bed a common theme always crops up. “I miss Dada” We always open the drapes and l say “He’s looking at the same stars.” Without fail it settles them and inspires beautiful bedtime stories.
It dawned on me that there is a primal and eternal power in looking at the stars. It’s with us when we are born. They are there for every moment. I wanted to capture that.So I created The Night Sky.

With this 18″ x 24″ print you can document the view of the stars from the night your heart skipped a beat. What was that defining moment for you? Was it your first kiss, the birth of your first child, or another moment that made you stop and realize that your world had been changed forever?
My Thoughts:
I can remember when I was younger thinking that every time something big happened that it was the best or worse day of my life. Now that I am, let’s just say, not as young; I laugh at those memories. Although they are sweet memories, they have no ranking in my top 10 or 20 moments in time that changed my life.
Until recently, the largest loss in my life was my gran. She pretty much raised me and I can still hear her in my heart when step out of line. Now though, with the recent passing of my father; that date holds the top of my world being changed forever. When I think over my life, I am blessed that I have not had that many heart breaking moments in time. I know I have been truly blessed with a happy life for the most part.
Thankfully, I have so many happy life changing moments to celebrate. The birth of each of our children rank in the top of course, and so do the births of our grans – all eleven soon to be twelve of them. A few others would include the day my husband proposed, the day we found out that we were expecting our first child, and the day our youngest got married leaving us as empty nesters. I know, not everyone would think of that as a joyful date but we raised our children to one day fly the nest so it was a happy day.
So, since we all have these moments in time that have changed our lives, how do we commemorate them? Your left hand might hold the reminder of the day you got married. And of course we all have photographs around that bring back those special memories. The hardest part of the ordering process is making your mind up what to have imprinted under the view of the sky. Seriously, that was a challenge!
Simply enter the date, time, and city of your special event. Watch the world turn back in front of your eyes. I enjoyed that part probably a little too much as I kept changing the information just to watch the software do its thing.
Enter the personal information you want printed and approve the proof that is created immediately on your screen. Once you process the checkout, your product is shipped within days. One thing that struck me as special was the email that I received once my order had been placed.
It included another proof of the product and stated that I had 24 hours to confirm or change my order. Being able to go in and look at it with fresh eyes the following morning was nice. I caught a small mistake when I went through the final proof and was able to get it corrected.
