Unicorns are magical and fantastic! So, their kisses must be too! This is an easy recipe to make these cute kisses with your kids. It does take an hour for them to bake (at a very low temperature) but that just makes the suspense even greater! Imagine the magical stories you could tell, Unicorn parties you could throw and fun you could have with these cute kisses!
Ingredients:
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- food color (colors of your choice)
- 2 teaspoons citric acid
Instructions:
Prep: 20 minutes Cook: 1 hour
Step 1: In the bowl of a kitchen add mixture add the egg whites. Beat on medium speed until they start to bubble. Add in citric acid and mix on medium speed till egg whites start to stiffen.
Step 2: Slowly tablespoon by tablespoon add in the sugar. Turn to a high speed and let beat until it’s thick and you have stiff white peaks. Make sure to take the mixture and rub between two fingers. If you feel sugar granules then beat more until you don’t feel the sugar.
Step 3: Preheat oven to 200 degrees F.
Step 4: In a piping bag add with a skewer a tad of food coloring. Place meringue mixture into a piping bag. Pipe meringues onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 5: Place in oven with oven door cracked. Bake for 1 hour or until the meringues lift off the parchment paper easily.
Step 6: Let cool before serving.
