My Thoughts
Who doesn’t love a celebration? Having people celebrate the date of your birth each year reminds us that we are important to those around us. It doesn’t matter if you have a big party with decorations, gifts, and lots of food, or just a small gathering.
It’s the gathering together that matters. Our family makes a big deal over birthdays. And for our birthdays, cakes and sweet treats also include the traditional candle(s) which are blown out after the singing of “Happy Birthday” and a wish is made. We put a TON of candles on my husband’s last birthday cake. Looked like we were having a bonfire at the kitchen table when we turned the lights off.
So what could make this special occasion even better? What if you had a pretty colored flower in the center, almost ready to bloom. Then you light the center candle and step back. Slowly, the flower starts to bloom with a mini-candle on the end of each petal. As it spins it also plays the “Happy Birthday” tune for everyone to hear. When it’s done, you have all these candles burning as one with a flower that spins and plays music on top of the sweet treat! That is what Lotus Candles is all about.
I love it when you add these and no one is expecting that to happen. Kids and adults alike are usually pretty surprised and it’s a lot of fun for everyone around.
