My husband has been flipping his pillow to find the “cool side” for years! This pillow is his dream come true! He was very excited to try it, especially since he doesn’t get many review items, I mostly get things for my son and me. He was very surprised at how heavy it was. It does weigh 12 pounds because it is filled with a special gel.
He was also surprised that it was so small. Imagine how heavy it would be if it was the size of a standard pillow! He found out that it works best to put on top of a flat but regular sized pillow. The small size has a more concentrated cooling effect.
He did enjoy the coolness that lasted for a few hours at night. He did fall asleep faster and the polar pillow helped relieve his headache. Now he has another excuse to nap in the middle of the day- the polar pillow helps him get rid of his headache. He tends to run very hot so having a cool pillow will be such a relief in the summer.
He tried it one night after cooling it down with an ice pack. He must of slept really good because he doesn’t remember waking up with a hot pillow.
You spend 30% of your life on your pillow! You might as well have the right pillow!
