Epic! Is a Children’s App Where Reading and Learning Will Be Nurtured!
As my children are getting older, one of the most important things to me is making sure that learning is fun! My son is 5 and has been starting to learn how to read in preschool. He’s very curious and loves to try and sound words out and put words together. My daughter is 3 and she really just loves to have stories read to her. I want to make sure I keep that fire alive in both of them to keep their curiosity going. It’s hard to deny that as times change, the way that our children learn changes. Technology plays a huge part in their future. So I’m always looking for something they can do on their iPad that will keep them on their toes. Something that isn’t going to rot their brain.
Epic! is a reading library for children 12 and under. It has over 25,000 book, learning videos, quizzes and so much more. Build a profile for your children, up to 4 children. In their profile you will select their age and their interests like animals, sports, etc. From there, Epic! will give you suggestions based on their interests and age. Your children can have a book read to them (just audio), they can watch videos, and listen to audio books, and even take quizzes to challenge them. There is also a parent dashboard where you can view everything your children have read and completed. There are so many well-known books that my children love! The options are endless!

Epic! was born out of a single question: How do we make books more accessible to kids?As parents, it always seemed strange to us that our kids could so easily play games and watch videos on their iPhones and iPads, but the same couldn’t be said for books. So in 2013, we decided to build the first “epic” reading experience, designed just for kids. My Thoughts:
Epic! has been such a wonderful addition to our daily routine! It’s amazing to have so many books and resources right out our finger tips. My kids love to scroll through and find just what they’re looking for, whether they are in the mood to learn about animals, or to learn about karate. There is such a wide variety of options. I love that we can watch on so many devices! We watch on our phone, tablet, laptop and smart tv. This way if they don’t want to read together, they can learn separately. One of my favorite features is that your children are able to click on a word while reading so they can learn how to say the word, and also it’s meaning. Another wonderful option is being able to send your child’s progress to their teacher if you wanted. This way, they can keep up on how well they read at home. My son starts kindergarten this coming fall and I can’t wait to see how much more his love for reading will grow!
If you are a parent with children ranging in ages 2-12, the Epic! app will be such a beneficial part of their lives. Since most kids will be spending some time on an electronic device, you might as well make the most of it! Having access to over 25,000 books, games and quizzes, your children will have a wide variety of ways to learn and at a pace thats right for them. They can explore their love for animals or sports or even history! I can’t express how much I love this app. Keeping the fire alive inside a child for their love for reading and learning is so important!
