The holiday season is quickly coming and I know a lot of us are scrambling for gifts that the children in our lives will use and enjoy! I love shopping for toys that aren’t just fun and exciting, but hopefully also teach the kids about something they will use later in life. So this year I’m planning to buy a few different sets of building sets from Brackitz. They are planks and connectors that can be combined to build unbelievable structures, race tracks, and more. Whatever your child can imagine! And they have several different sets/kits that you can use to build special items, that still work in conjunction with the regular sets too. The kids will be building with Brackitz this Christmas for sure.
Brackitz
Inspire imagination and creativity with Brackitz’ open-ended toys. Unique, connect-anywhere Brackitz attach to traditional planks at any point, any angle, enabling builders to design any structure they can imagine.
Seriously. Anything.
From simple to complex, small scale to larger-than-life, gravity-defying, 3D structures, Brackitz award winning family of construction toys puts real-life art, math, science, architectural, and engineering (STEAM) principles into play. Intentionally open-ended toys, Brackitz encourages imagination, unrestricted by step-by-step instructions. The possibilities truly are endless.
Brackitz’ large planks and connectors are simple enough for girls and boys to attach grow with the child as they’re able to imagine and design more complex creations.
Brackitz Inventor Set
This set of Brackitz attach to traditional planks at any angle, enabling the construction of everything from small-scale builds to larger-than-life structures. This 100 Piece Set is a great for building larger projects or working together on teams.
Brackitz Bugz Racepark Set
This set has 96 pieces including two motorized vibrating bugs and directions for building over 12 race parks and obstacles. Based on STEM and STEAM learning skills, this educational toy will help strengthen a foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering. Art and Mathematics.
My Thoughts:
Whether you teach your children at home, or they attend a public or private school, learning doesn’t stop just because the school day is over. I love when I can find toys and games that aren’t only fun but also help the kids learn concepts about art, science, technology, you name it. Most kids I know learn quickly if they can use their hands and get involved in the process. That’s why I love toys like Brackitz. The kids can design their own buildings, towns, planets, whatever they want to build! And by simply connecting planks and connector pieces together, they can bring their ideas to life.
I personally like the fact that they aren’t “meant” for boys or girls. When you have a large family with a good number of both genders, you need some of these neutral toys in your life. It doesn’t matter whether the girls, the boys, or a mixture of both want to play with the Brackitz since they aren’t your typical boys or girls color/theme. Now, the end results may lean one way or the other (like a doll house or monster truck rally) but that’s up to their imagination of course.
As a parent, I also appreciate that the additional sets, like the Brackitz Inventor Set and the Brackitz Bugz Racepark Set can both be added to their existing sets. No special adapters or having to keep the parts separate because they don’t work together even though they are from the same company. With the Brackitz Inventor Set, they get 100 pieces of planks and connectors, including pieces that rotate. This feature is terrific because their inventions and designs can have moving parts! The connectors have so many options, they can hold the plank pieces at almost any angle depending on how you put them together. And with the Brackitz Bugz Racepark Set, there are 96 pieces to play with. The kids can build race tracks and obstacles to guide the 2 vibrating bugz through to get to the end. They love to set up different challenges and raceparks then try to beat their siblings or friends in a race. It gets loud, you guys! But they are having a blast while learning to build with their hands, and finding out what works and what doesn’t…and how to fix it.
There are other sets to expand on these Brackitz kits, like adding a pulley system, driving parts, gears and more. And if you’re a teacher or want to buy sets to gift to your school, they have larger sets that are wonderful for a classroom setting with multiple children. These toys are great for ages 4 and up and would be suitable for several grade levels. The possibilities are endless and even if you just start with a single Brackitz set or two, I bet your child will be thrilled opening this for Christmas. And you know that they didn’t get another video game or a sweater they won’t wear, but instead an educational toy that will last them for many years to come. Introduce them to building with Brackitz and they’ll have something to play with the whole year long.
