The personalization tool allows us to break down the complexity of fragrance notes to match everyday preferences. Our master perfumers have helped us understand how different mood and scent combinations make up your perfect home fragrance. Once we’ve generated your scent, choose one or several variations.
Products:
- Fragrance Plug Ins – Plug the unit into an outlet for continuous scent. The glass refills hold 20ml of scent oils, blended to perfection from your personalization process or one of our signature scent collections. You can also adjust the strength of the scent by twisting the top to your desired setting.
- Diffuser – These sleek units release your scented oils throughout the room with a gentle mist. Adjust the strength on the bottom of the battery powered diffuser unit to find the right level to match your preference. A small blue light tells you when the unit is on and it will automatically shut off on its own. Works great in the car or the office too!
My Thoughts
I’m already a fan of using essential oils in my family’s daily routine, so I’m familiar with some of the common properties associated with the scents. For example, lavender is not only great to use in cleaning products, but it’s wonderful to use at bedtime to relax! Or using citrus to help feel energized during that mid-afternoon slump. And there’s still the process of creating and recalling memories using one of our strongest senses: smell!
Dimensions Home Fragrance offers a lot of pre-selected scent collections, such as Energize which contains scents of herbs, citrus, and mint while Romance contains scents of vanilla, rose, and fruits. These are available to be used in either their diffusers, which are beautiful battery powered wood wrapped containers, available in several colors, or in the plug in units which you simply “plug in” to the wall to use! The website explains what scents are in each collection and they describe the atmosphere people think of when they are using these particular products.
But I think the best part of all is designing your own signature scents! The process is very easy:
- Enter your first name
- Choose which product you’re designing (refill, diffuser, or plug in)
- Select what room you’re designing for
- Select the feeling you’d like when you enter this room
- Pick 3 of your favorite notes/scents
- Review the personalized collection selections
- Confirm your selection or choose from other suggested collections based on your preferences
I think the whole process took me about 5 minutes, and most of that was spent going over the available fragrance notes and seeing what other options I might be interested in. So for my Powder Room plug in, I selected a nature atmosphere with notes of citrus, fresh herbs, and marine. And for my Bedroom diffuser, I picked the safe haven atmosphere with citrus, dry wood, and creamy notes. If you don’t like the results or want to change a selection, simply go back and choose again. Then you can place your order and start using them as soon as they arrive!
You can also order e-gift cards to give to others to make their own scent collections or purchase any of their collections. I am interested in the Holiday Collection and the Bring Home the World Collection to give as gifts to a few friends and relatives. Who doesn’t like their home, office, or car to smell wonderful?
