Make a School Bus Back-to-School Craft
One of my son’s favorite things about going back to school, used to be riding the school bus and coloring. This fun craft includes both of those! What does your child love about going back to school?

Many of these supplies you probably already have a home, especially if you have crafty kids!
- Colored craft paper
- Craft glue
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Black sharpie

Instructions:
Step (1)
Select colored craft papers for the project and trace the patterns from the template on the craft papers. Cut out the traced patterns nicely.
Step (2)
Take the big rectangular pattern and fold it into half lengthwise, folding it between the 2 curved parts in the middle of the big rectangular yellow pattern.
Step (3)
Take the 2 round cut outs and draw one smaller round shape inside each of them; these are the wheels of the school bus. Stick the 2 wheel patterns on the big rectangular pattern’s bottom side; and then stick the straight black strip on the yellow folded paper.
Step (4)
The 4 square shapes (one pattern has a curved edge) are the windows and the rectangular shape is the door of the bus. Stick these items on their positions. Finally, stick the 2 small square shapes; one on the front and the other one at the back side of the bus pattern. This will be the cover of the book.
Step (5)
Take some stationary papers and trace the big rectangular pattern on them. Cut out as many papers as you want. Join the papers between the 2 curved parts in the middle; you can either stitch them or staple them.
Step (6)
Fold the stationary papers into half along the middle line (joint). Unfold the yellow rectangular pattern (the bus/ book cover); and place it on a flat surface with the detailed side facing down.
Step (7)
Apply glue along the middle crease of the big rectangular pattern (the cover) and place the folded stationary papers’ closed end along the glued part.
Step (8)
Close the book by folding the cover.
Allow the glue to dry completely.
You can add more details or come up with your own bus pattern.
