FlyLight Insect Trap
This indoor insect trap takes control over those pesky flies in no time. Insects are attracted to the AtraktaGlo™ UV light and trapped on the StickyTech™ pad. The unit also has an electrical outlet and a single USB outlet on each side so you don’t have to lose the outlet space.
Sonata Series Insect Trap
The DynaTrap® Sonata traps and removes insects without using chemicals. It is based on a three way system for insect extermination. There is a UV fluorescent light bulb that produces bright light and carbon dioxide which attracts insects to it. After Insects and mosquitoes are lured to the trap, the powerful fan draws them into the retaining cage where they are trapped until discarded.
My Thoughts:
Depending on the season, ugh the flying insects are awful here in Northern Kentucky. Between the mosquitoes and other flying things that annoy us, being outside can become a challenge.
My crew loves to be outside playing in the yard or in the pool. It has been a real struggle to keep the mosquitoes at bay especially in the early evening.
We have been enjoying a couple of units from DynaTrap®. One unit is made to be used indoors and believe me it does a great job at catching those pesky flies and little bugs that seem to hang around just to bother you when you sit down to rest. The FlyLight plugs into a regular outlet and just works quietly in the background.
I do like that the FlyLight has electrical and USB outlets on the sides of the base. As limited as electrical outlets are in most homes, this is a real bonus.
Now for bug control outside, The DynaTrap® Sonata Series is just what you need. This unit will clear up to half and acre and once set in place, all you have to do is dump the collection container every couple of days to keep your area free from mosquitoes, biting flies, Asian beetles, no see-ums, wasps, hornets, moths, and even stink bugs.
It’s really quiet when running. You do hear a little hum while it is running but you soon tune it out and don’t notice it at all. I was curious how the unit worked because it doesn’t use any chemicals or other harmful products which I try not to use around the children and pets. Basically, the DynaTrap® uses the warmth and glow of a UV light to draw in mosquitoes and other predatory insects. Once they are in the cage area, the fan sucks them into the collection container. Note here…if you are turning off the unit – make sure to close the screen. If you don’t, the bugs can get out! Look at how many pesky insects were caught in one night!
