My Thoughts:
Battling for control of my hair normally ends in me pulling it back into a pony tail and giving up. I’ve even gone as far as getting a super short hair cut in the spring to avoid the summer “swell” that my hair enjoys taunting me with every day that the humidity climbs above about 60%. You know what I mean, my hair starts all styled in the morning and by lunch my locks have doubled in size from the humidity..and there is no taming them at that point!
I have tried various products over the years with limited success but I gave up even trying when my age started catching up in my hair..with those dreaded grey sparkles around my temple. Once I started coloring my hair, I found most products either didn’t work as well or they removed the color that I had just paid to have applied.
Recently, I have been using a product by YANTRA that honestly, had me at the scent. I love it! I would use it just for the scent since it makes me smile. However, in addition to the amazing scent, this hair serum is doing an awesome job at control my frizz and humidity swell that comes mid day on any humid day.
I apply it after washing my hair a little heavier than on other days. Just a couple of pumps take care of it now. When I started using it, I used more of the serum than I do now because I hair inhaled it! After a week, I found that I used less and less each time for the same control. Once rubbed through my hair, I styled it as usual.
On days that I am not washing my hair, I apply the serum to the last two to three inches to prevent the frizz. Even on days that I pull my hair back into a pony tail, I still like to apply a little to the ends.
Another product by YANTRA that we have been trying is their The Bomb Balm. This is a thick balm that can be used to shape and treat skin, hair and nails. I rub a little on my cuticles each night and they have stopped cracking along the nail bed.
This balm is light weight and allows you to shape your hairstyle quickly for a smooth finish. Our little one loves it when I fix his hair too.
