Have your little ones discovered Whiffer Sniffers yet? Not sure? Well, now you will be one up on them when they come asking for these adorable collectibles. Not only are these whimsical characters super cute and smell wonderful, they teach caring for others and being that friend that we all need!
Whiffer Sniffers
The Original Whiffer Sniffers is a collectible line of scented plush characters that are available as either backpack clips, larger huggable plush versions, and scratch n’ sniff stickers. Dozens of unique, fun characters have been launched since 2015. Series 6 launches in Spring 2018, including the debut of Whiffer Squishers in Spring 2018 along with the plush characters.
Once again Whiffer Sniffers is rolling out a new series of characters this Spring. Their last line was so popular that lines were formed waiting for deliveries at the retail stores. This Spring, five (5) new characters will be joining the Whiffer Sniffer family.
The characters names are a hoot! Joining the team with the new roll out are: Louie Lime, Apollo Freeze, Shirley Cone, Missy Muffintop, and Ima Muffintop. They will join Chill Bill, Danny Dipperelli, Waffle Aaron, Willy Hyde, Ima Bubblepopper, and Cheri Bubblepopper to complete the series of characters.
Retailing for only $6.99, these affordable characters can add fun as well as a great scent to your child’s backpack or room.
My Thoughts:
I have to admit that I have enjoyed the Whiffer Sniffers as much if not more than my little ones. In fact, I commandeered one for my office and car out of the set we received.
Aren’t they too cute? These collectibles come in the scented clip size for hanging on a backpack or locker as well as the new huggable sized super Whiffer Sniffers pillows.
Each character has a cute name and a back story about what they like and how they got their name. On the website for Whiffer Sniffers, you can see the entire collection for each of the current and previous series released.
One of the characters is Apollo Freeze. His bio says that he is curious and loves adventure. He is all about being outside and screen free (gotta like Apollo for that). He is ready to jump in and help you create your own adventure.
My favorite is Chill Bill who smells like a rainbow slushy. Bill’s bio says he may be frozen, but has a warm personality! He makes sure that everyone is included in games and activities and doesn’t let anyone feel left out.
It wasn’t until we started looking at the characters closely that we learned about the story that goes with each one. Each has a strong character trait that is encouraging and uplifting, not something you see much of in toys these days. I appreciate the life lessons that are being learned as the children collect and trade these characters. Hopefully some of it will rub off on them (like the scent) and they will remember to be kind to someone that is in need or offer to help someone just because it is the right thing to do.
