My Thoughts:
I love pretty floral patterns on most things. Probably because I can’t grow anything (seriously, I can kill a silk plant)!
The weekly planner has been nice because I can fill it out and hang it up so I can stay on track. I’ve used it as both a general day planner and as a menu planner.
Keeping up with birthdays in my family requires a secretary. With our seven children, and six of them married with children, and extended family…yep there is always someone having or in my timing, just had a birthday. I tasked one of the teens with gathering everyone’s birthday, wedding anniversaries, and any other special dates that needed to be added to the calendar. Then the birthdays were entered into my Birthday Book.
Tip here: I also added the mailing address so I didn’t have that excuse when it was time to send cards or gifts. Now my plan is to look at the birthday book on the last Sunday of the month and gather all cards to send out at once. I am also ordering any gifts that need to be sent during this time too. Not sure what my grandkids will think getting gifts before their birthday! I don’t imagine they will complain.
Another new thing that was on my new year’s list was to stay in touch with friends that are no longer local to me. These post cards are perfect. I can keep several in a little bag along with a couple of stamps so I can send off a note while I am waiting somewhere for one of the little ones. If I know I need to send a note to someone, I will address and stamp the postcard before placing in my bag. This has made keeping up so much easier. And because it is a postcard, I am limited on the space available for me to write. Short and sweet notes from me are actually getting mailed!
