My Review:
WARNING: Do NOT listen to this CD when driving home after a long day at work. Sukey’s folky, relaxing voice can help even the most anxious and cranky child or adult relax and feel sleepy! My son and I listened to Sukey in the car on the way home from shopping. He is 9 years old and doesn’t like “kids'” music much anymore. However, he was drawn into “I am Sleepy’s“ tender tunes. He said it was very relaxing and soothing and we could definitely fall asleep if he had Sukey’s music playing in the background.
I have to agree with him. Sukey has the most soothing but fun voice. It is just the perfect combination to turn your cranky kid into a sleepy son in just minutes. I love the Stories that she recites. Twinkle Little Star has always been a favorite of mine. When Sukey recites Twinkle, it brings back memories of my childhood as well as those relaxing mommy/baby moments I had with my son over the last 9 years. I love that I am Sleepy is not just songs and lullabies but those wonderful childhood stories woven in as well.
I highly recommend I am Sleepy with Sukey Malloy as a new edition to your child’s bedtime routine. I know my son slept so much better when I figured out that music soothed him and helped him sleep so much better. Mind you, it took me 6 months to figure that out, but babies don’t come with instructions.
