Say Goodbye to Training Struggles with The Woofz Dog Training App

November 21, 2025 by Pam Maynard

New Disclosure

Woofz & the Dog Training App That Saved My Sanity

I always thought I had dog training mostly figured out. I mean, I’ve lived through chewed shoes, surprise puddles on the rug, and the chaos of zoomies and barking during calls. But nothing prepared me for juggling training with three dogs at once—my energetic male border collie and my two sweet (but stubborn) rescue girls. Even though they have all been through basic obedience, they still need reminders. Between work, errands, and the daily tornado of dog hair, I felt like training and reinforcement of good behaviors had to happen “later.” Except “later” never really came.                            That was the moment I went searching for something—anything—that could help me train my dogs without booking classes, driving across the state, or convincing three very different personalities to cooperate at the same time. When I downloaded a dog training app to try, I wasn’t expecting much. Honestly, I thought it would just be another thing I forgot to use after a week. My pups are better at snuggling than obedience, but I figured it didn’t hurt to try.

And the Woofz Dog training app surprised me.

Within the first ten minutes, I felt the tiniest spark of relief… like, “Oh, this might actually work for us.” And after a few more sessions, I realized it wasn’t just helping me train my dogs—it was helping me stay consistent even on the busiest days. (The best part: I can do it any day, any time.)

So if you’re knee-deep in training struggles, or you just want something that makes life with a dog (or three) run smoother, let me spill everything about this app that has made our house calmer, happier, and a whole lot easier to manage.

Woofz plan

About Woofz:

Help humans and dogs build a healthy and happy connection that lasts.

Before I downloaded it, I poked around the Woofz website to get a sense of the brand, and the whole vibe felt friendly, supportive, and very “dog-parent real.” It’s not one of those super-technical, intimidating training tools. Instead, Woofz focuses on making dog training approachable, encouraging, and doable—even for the overwhelmed among us.dog and leash

They position the app as a full training companion, not just a list of exercises. Every part of the platform is designed to help dog parents stay organized, learn at their own pace, and actually stick with training. I loved that immediately.

The website also highlights how much they want to help dogs and their humans bond through positive routines. As a mom to three very different pups, that message hit home. Training isn’t just about stopping barking or teaching “sit.” It’s about creating harmony in the home. And Woofz seems built for families like mine—busy, juggling everything, and still trying to do right by our dogs.

Little Training Helpers for Real-Life Struggles

Best parts of the Woofz Dog Training App

What sold me right away was how many different parts of training are packed into this single app. I wasn’t looking for something fancy—I just wanted help that didn’t require rearranging my whole day. But Woofz ended up feeling like a full dog-training toolkit that lives in my pocket.

The dog training activities were the first thing I tried. Each command comes with step-by-step video and audio lessons. These saved me with my border collie, who likes to leap ten steps ahead of me. The videos kept me grounded and made the process feel simple instead of overwhelming. My rescue girls were slower to warm up, but the clear instructions allowed me to take things at their pace without feeling like I was failing.

Woofz behaviors

The Problem Behaviors Program was next. If you’ve dealt with barking, chewing, or biting, you know it can make you feel like the world’s worst dog parent. I tried a few modules, and I love that they give realistic, doable steps—not miracle promises. We used the barking section during backyard squirrel hour. Yes, my rescue girls are big barkers- at squirrels, at people on the road, at a leaf that blows the wrong way.  And even though it didn’t “fix” everything overnight, it helped us put structure around something that used to feel chaotic.

One thing I didn’t expect to care about was the Course Completion Certificates, but they actually added a little spark of motivation. I’m not above a gold star moment, and it made training feel more like celebrating wins rather than slogging through a routine.

Tricks, tips, profiles and more:

We also started working through the tricks and tips section—“give paw” was a hit with my border collie because he thinks he’s a gifted child. One of my rescues re-mastered “sit” with the help of these simple commands, which still makes me melt a little.

Creating profiles for each dog turned out to be a lifesaver. With three pups, it’s easy to forget who’s due for a vet visit or which one needs extra training on a particular behavior. I’ve tried taking all three on the same day, which is quite a circus, to say the least.  The app keeps everything tidy. I can track health notes, training progress, and anything else that’s too easy to lose in the shuffle.

my pups work for treats

The doggy calendar might be my favorite feature for daily life. I can track walks, schedule trick lessons, log vet visits, and set reminders. My youngest pup needs her nails trimmed every 2 or 3 months.  I set up a reminder so I don’t forget to take her. It’s basically the organizational brain I wish I had without caffeine.

Woofz care

Then there’s the precious moments gallery, which might sound simple, but I love having one spot to store their training milestones—like the first time my rescue girls learned to walk without tugging, or the day my border collie finally mastered a calm “stay.”

The in-app clicker is another tiny but powerful tool. I used to lose physical clickers constantly. This one comes wherever my phone goes, and it made training sessions flow more smoothly. The girls weren’t very impressed with either kind of clicker, unless high-value treats are involved.  Bean loves any kind of work, so he loved the clicker!

And for days when I feel guilty that I didn’t walk everyone enough, the walking tracker can help me see exactly how far we’ve gone. It takes the guesswork out of exercise, which also stops me from overdoing it with my older rescue. I have to admit I haven’t used this part of the app much.

Every part of the app feels like it was designed for real people living real, sometimes chaotic, dog-filled lives. There are more parts I didn’t touch on, which you can explore yourself.  It works whether you have one pup or three completely different dogs with completely different personalities… like mine.

A Peaceful Home… One Small Win at a Time

What I love most about Woofz is how it fits into our actual lives. I don’t need a perfect schedule or a spotless house. I don’t need to carve out whole evenings for training. I just need five minutes here and there, and the app makes that feel worthwhile.

Using Woofz has helped me turn training into something gentle and consistent instead of stressful. My border collie thrives with the structure. My rescues gained confidence, not to mention we sharpened a few skills. And I feel less overwhelmed, which means I show up better as their person.

If you’re dealing with training struggles or even just trying to build better routines, this might help you the way it helped us. You don’t need fancy gear or big chunks of time. You just need something that guides you step by step and meets you where you are. But don’t forget the treats!
