Reese’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Rods: A No-Fuss Party Treat
When sweet meets salty, magic happens—and these Reese’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Rods are proof! With crunchy pretzel rods, smooth milk chocolate, a drizzle of creamy peanut butter, and the colorful crunch of Reese’s Pieces, this treat is as fun to make as it is to eat. Whether you’re looking for a quick party snack, a festive dessert for movie night, or just a way to satisfy your sweet tooth, these pretzel rods deliver big flavor with very little effort.
What I love most about this recipe is how customizable it is. You only need a handful of ingredients and less than half an hour to create a treat that looks like it came straight from a candy shop. Kids can jump in to help sprinkle the Reese’s Pieces on top, and the finished rods make a perfect grab-and-go snack. Plus, since they’re portioned individually, they’re great for school parties, holiday trays, or just keeping a little stash in the freezer for when that chocolate-peanut butter craving hits.
Best of all, these Reese’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Rods don’t just taste amazing—they look impressive, too. They’ve got that Instagram-worthy mix of chocolate drizzle, bright orange and yellow candies, and tall, crunchy pretzel sticks. It’s the kind of recipe that makes you look like you’ve put in way more effort than you really did, and honestly, those are my favorite kinds of recipes. Let’s dive in and make them together!

Ingredients
- 1 box Reese’s Pieces
- 6 pretzel rods
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 10 oz Ghirardelli’s milk chocolate melting wafers
Instructions
-
Melt the chocolate
Place the chocolate melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on defrost mode for two minutes, then stir. Continue heating on defrost mode for one more minute, stirring until the chocolate is completely smooth. -
Coat the pretzels
Spoon the melted chocolate over each pretzel rod, making sure to cover them evenly. Place the coated pretzels onto a sheet of parchment paper to set. -
Add the Reese’s Pieces
While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle Reese’s Pieces over the rods. For a bolder look, press a few candies directly on top of the chocolate. -
Drizzle with peanut butter
Heat the peanut butter in the microwave for 30 seconds until smooth and pourable. Drizzle generously over the rods to add that extra peanut buttery goodness. -
Chill and serve
Place the rods in the freezer for 10 minutes to allow everything to set. Remove and serve immediately—or store in an airtight container until ready to enjoy.
Tips & Variations
- Swap the chocolate: Try dark chocolate or white chocolate wafers for a different flavor profile.
- Holiday version: Use seasonal M&M’s or sprinkles instead of Reese’s Pieces for themed party treats.
- Gift idea: Wrap each rod in a cellophane bag with a ribbon for a homemade party favor.
