Supplies Needed:
- Colored craft papers
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Craft glue
- Sharpies
- Print the Template
Instructions:
- Select colored craft papers for the peacock craft. Print and prepare the provided template patterns. Use pencil to trace the template patterns on the selected craft papers and use scissors to cut them out nicely. The template includes patterns for the head, lower body, beak, wings, tail feather base, and tail feathers.
- Glue the beak cutout to the head cutout and the wing cutouts on both sides of the lower body cutout.
- Glue the head to the top side and glue the leg cutouts to the bottom side of the lower body part.
- Take the teardrop-shaped cutouts and glue the small cutouts onto the larger cutouts.
- Take the tail feather strips and attach the teardrop patterns on them as shown in the picture of this step.
- Carefully join both open ends of the tail feather strips and join them without making any folding lines in the middle. Prepare all the tail feather strips in the same manner.
- Apply glue on the tail feather base.
- Attach the glued ends of the tail feather to the glued base.
- Glue the tail feathers on the base neatly and evenly. Make loops with the thin strips and glue them between the main tail feather patterns, on the base.
- Prepare a small piece of paper (1cm x 4cm) and make accordion folds along the longer side. Attach it to the middle of the tail feather base.
- Attach the peacock body pattern on the top part of the accordion-folded paper, covering the tail feather base. Allow the glue to dry.
