As a Great Pyrenees, Winnie is one of the largest breed of dogs my family has ever had. We quickly learned that this gentle giant has feeding and drinking habits our others dogs never had.
While in the kitchen one day, I noticed that, after putting down a bowl of food and water for Winnie, she would lay down to eat and drink from the bowls I was using. I was puzzled as I thought maybe she was just a little tired after playing with her brother, Chewie, outside. Chewie is a large breed, but as an Australian Shepherd mix, he is much smaller than Winnie.
What I learned is that this was not a one-off situation. Winnie would lay down every time she would eat or drink. That is when I decided to do some research and invest in a feeding system that would be suited best for her.
