Old World Christmas’ Hand Crafted Ornaments: For More Than Just Christmas! #SpringintoSummerFun

March 3, 2024 by Lydia Smith

Old World Christmas handcrafts beautiful glass-blown ornaments that are not just for Christmas anymore. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to review an amazing collection of Easter ornaments, along with some traditional Christmas ornaments. These works of art are handpainted and glittered to make a sparkling statement on your tree!

Writer’s note- the ornaments come without hangers, so the ribbons on the Easter ornaments were my addition so I could hang them on my Easter tree.

Old World Christmas’ Easter Ornament Collection

Spring is here, and new life is all around us! I am so happy to celebrate this season of rebirth and awakening with beautiful Easter ornaments. These special occasion ornaments add beauty to any spring decor. I was gifted a spring tree that is a perfect complement to these glittery, sweet, and fun bunnies!

Each bunny has a tag that tells you a story of that particular bunny! It is a classy touch that Old World Christmas does to enhance the personal connection you can have with these works of art!

White Baby Bunny Ornament

Old World Christmas makes glass-blown ornaments that have such distinct features. This white baby bunny wears an expression that is sweet and a little sleepy, like any baby! The sparkle shines off of the white color and glitters like the snow.

Tan Cottontail Bunny Ornament

The Tan Cottontail Bunny Ornament shows a real rabbit’s shy demeanor through the slightly bowed head and ears that are down instead of perked up. Old World Christmas gold bunny up close

The glitter on the Tan Cottontail creates the look of a bunny’s soft fur. Although the color of the bunny is tan, it is almost rose gold, which makes it truly exquisite.

Chocolate Easter Bunny Ornament

The whimsy continues with this cute simulated chocolate bunny ornament. Everyone has childhood memories of unwrapping a chocolate bunny on Easter morning and taking a big bite off one of the ears! German folklore of the 13th century introduced the Easter Bunny. Germany also brought us the first chocolate bunny mold. Now a staple of the Easter holiday, chocolate bunnies are found in most Easter baskets. Now with Old World Christmas ornaments, you can have a glass blown chocolate bunny to enhance your holiday.

Dutch Rabbit Ornament

The Dutch Bunny ornament is one of the few Old World Christmas ornaments that depict the bunny sitting on his hind quarters. He wears a calm expression and ears perked up like he just heard a sound! Real Dutch rabbits are easily recognized by a characteristic white blaze on the face and chest, as well as white saddle markings around the shoulders, as seen on this adorable ornament. Dutch rabbits are popular as pets because of their calm and easygoing personalities. This ornament shows this personality clearly. Old World Christmas black and white bunny

I am all ready for Easter with my Old World Christmas Easter ornaments and my spring tree!

Old World Christmas Traditional Christmas Ornaments

Old World Christmas was founded in 1979, creating premium glass-blown Christmas ornaments using age-old European techniques. Each figurative glass ornament produced by Old World Christmas is hand-crafted using the same techniques that originated in the 1800s. Molten glass is mouth-blown into finely carved molds made exclusively for Old World Christmas before a hot solution of liquid silver is poured inside. The ornaments are then hand-painted and glittered in a series of labor-intensive steps to achieve the beautiful creations.

I could not resist reviewing some traditional Christmas ornaments. Although Christmas is definitely in the rear view mirror, I am looking forward putting these precious old fashioned Santas on my tree next year.

Mid-Century Santa Head

I love this Santa ornament because he embodies the innocence and wonder of the Christmas season. He evokes childhood memories for me and brings me so much happiness! From the classic Christmas red hat and snowy beard to the twinkle in Santa’s eye, this is a truly magical Santa!Old World Christmas Santa face ornament

Glistening Golden Santa Ornament

This classic Santa ornament is truly a representation of Jolly Old St. Nick! He is carrying a small Christmas tree in his beautiful fur lined, gold embellished coat. The glitter will surely sparkle with the Christmas lights on the tree this Christmas!

The gold detail on the Glistening Santa’s coat is intricate and eye-catching. The amount of painstaking work that goes into each ornament is amazing.

My Thoughts

Old World Christmas creates products that return me to my childhood Christmas celebrations. In our modern world, it is nice to know that there is a company that believes in sustaining traditional methods of producing art. These are ornaments that I am proud to put on my tree at Christmastime.

It is also nice to know that they put an equal amount of work into creating whimsical and beautiful ornaments for every holiday. While I enjoy the Easter ornaments I received, I could also order ornaments for St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, or Valentine’s Day, among many others. I would highly recommend investing in Old World Christmas ornaments and starting a tradition of your own! Adding sparkle and quality to your tree with bring joy to the whole family.
