Elevate backyard birdwatching this holiday season by gifting every bird lover on your list a bird feeder or birdhouse from Kingsyard. Since 2012, Kingsyard has been making people understand, love, and protect birds. They understand that the human impact on the natural environment is real and must be remedied. Kingsyard hopes to become a leading global brand in outdoor bird watching and conservation by raising awareness of how birds can be safely observed while living wild and freely reproducing. They are committed to designing and manufacturing high-quality bird feeder products so they can make a contribution to the bird ecology around the world.
For this review, Kingsyard sent me two bird feeders, one birdhouse, and a two-pack of outdoor shepherd hooks. The bird feeders use two different kinds of bird feed, birdseed and suet, so I realized I had a lot to learn about bird feeders!
Kingsyard Double Suet Bird Feeder
To be honest, when I opened the box that this bird feeder came in, I had no idea what suet was, why birds like it, or where I was going to buy it! With a little research, I learned that suet is made of rendered beef suet and different seeds, nuts, nut butters, and/or grains depending on what type of bird you hope to attract. Suet is high in easily digestible fat and calories, which provides quick energy to hungry birds. This makes suet ideal for fall and winter feeding when birds need more calories to maintain body heat. Since I received these feeders in the fall, it seems ideal.
Some other advantages to suet feeders, according to WildAboutBirds.com are:
- Easy to use: Suet feeders use suet balls, blocks, or cakes to store the bird food. These solid blocks of bird food are easy to add to a suet feeder and simple to store in your home or garage. Suet takes up much less room than birdseed.
- Stays where you put it: Suet is much more efficient than seed alone because the seed doesn’t fall to the ground easily. It sticks to its form in the suet feeder until a hungry bird pecks some off to eat.
- Less waste: Refilling a bird feeder should be easy (ideally not done daily). An ambitious squirrel won’t tip over your suet feeder and spill all the food. Minimal bird food is wasted with suet and suet feeders, saving you time and money in the long run.
- Low maintenance: You won’t be cleaning up sunflower seeds or weeding under your suet feeder because of dropped food. Suet stays in the bird feeder where it belongs (until it gets almost entirely eaten up by birds and needs to be replaced).
- Easy to find: I learned that any store where you buy birdseed usually has suet.
You can hang Kingsyard’s Double Suet Bird Feeder to elevate your backyard birdwatching. It is double-sided, so it holds two suet cakes. It comes with a cage on both sides to hold the suet cakes.
The Double Suet Bird Feeder has a heavy gauge powder-coated rust-free wire mesh cage with a double locking closure system to keep the suet cake secure inside the feeder. The feeder is made of durable bamboo. It also has a clear, see-through acrylic roof protecting the suet cake from rain and snow. It can hold two standard-sized suet cakes and includes a metal S-hook for hanging.
The wire mesh cage makes it easy for birds to hold on safely while enjoying the suet!
Kingsyard Metal 2 in 1 Mixed Seeds Bird Feeder
This beautiful metal bird feeder attracts all kinds of birds because it has places for suet as well as birdseed. It is metal, so it is chew-proof, sturdy, and durable. It can be used year-round since it is weatherproof, and the roof keeps seeds dry and birds sheltered. Its wide openings and stable perch allow for easy bird feeding. I like its sleek, modern design, and it comes in five colors.
Giving this beautiful bird feeder as a gift this holiday season will definitely elevate backyard birdwatching for the recipient. The removable roof allows for easy refilling and easy cleaning. It holds two suet cakes and 2.5 lbs of birdseed. The bottom has built-in drainage holes, so the birdseed will not quickly mold if it gets wet.
I love the way this bird feeder looks hanging in the yard. It is a beautiful addition to my backyard birdwatching!
Kingsyard Recycled Plastic Bluebird House
Sometimes, you might want to elevate your backyard birdwatching by watching birds make their nest and hatch their babies. The recycled plastic birdhouse from Kingsyard has so many features that it will make all of the birds in your neighborhood want to raise their families in your yard! Best of all, Kingsyard uses eco-friendly material for this birdhouse, so it is a gift you can feel good about giving. It will never crack, split, or fade because it is made from recycled poly lumber.
Kingsyard’s Recycled Plastic Bird House has a heavy-duty latch that keeps the side bird viewing door closed securely when babies are hatching.
When you want to view the beauty of the bluebird’s nest, this birdhouse has a side door with a plexiglass window for easy viewing while keeping the baby birds safe. It also has air vents in the floor to ensure a comfortable environment for bird health and to make it easy to clean once the birds have left the nest.
Bluebirds are the target bird for this birdhouse, but I am sure that you would be happy with any bird family that moves into this beautiful and useful house.
