  • Faux succulent, Assorted – Dollar Store
  • Acrylic Craft Paint – Medium Orange, Dark Orange
  • Foam Ball, 2.4” – Dollar Store
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks – Dollar Store
  • Moss – Dollar Store
  • Paintbrush
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Craft Knife
  • Wire Cutters

Dollar Store Faux Succulent Pumpkin Craft

Faux Succulent Pumpkin Instructions:

STEP ONE

Gather all materials. Carve a 2.5” hole in the top center of the foam pumpkin with a craft knife. The fun part about the Dollar Store pumpkins is that they are hollow inside.

STEP TWO

Basecoat the pumpkin with medium orange acrylic craft paint. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary.

With a dry paintbrush, apply dark orange acrylic craft paint in the valleys of the pumpkin.

STEP THREE

Insert the 2.4” foam ball in the opening. Depending on how snug the fit is, secure it with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP FOUR

Attach a layer of moss over top of the foam ball, securing it with a glue gun and glue sticks.

STEP FIVE

Starting with the largest faux succulent, create a hole at the top of the foam ball with a sharpened pencil. Secure the stems in place with glue.

STEP SIX

Using wire cutters, separate some of the long succulent pieces and insert them individually in the foam ball base. Make sure that there are some high, some medium, and some low cactus.

STEP SEVEN

Detach the smaller pieces from a succulent cluster with wire cutters. Fill in all of the smaller areas with these little succulents, securing them in place with a glue gun and glue sticks.
