What is the SplatterDom?
The SplatterDom is a device that is made of a silicone-type material, this splatter guard is unique. It is adjustable in height, it has a lid, and it’s cool to the touch. The guard can be used in multiple ways including handles down for bigger pots and handles up for smaller pots.
The adjustable height offers protection for things like noodles and potatoes from boiling over the side of your pot. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to clean my stove after I’ve overboiled a potato pot.
Spaghetti sauce and frying bacon splatter and when they do, it makes a huge mess. Using this guard eliminates all of the mess and you’ll only clean your pan and the Dom.
Sizes of SplatterDom
There are currently two sizes of SplatterDom. There is one that fits most 8-10″ pots and pans and another that fits most 10-12″ pans. Measuring your pots before you purchase is recommended. There will be leakage if the guard doesn’t fit properly.
With a nice snug fit, you’ll have a wonderfully clean stove when you’re finished cooking. You can even flip the Dom over and use it for the smaller pots. It’s really nice because it will fit more than one of your pots with one guard.
Other Features of SplatterDom
Most splatter guards do not come with a lid. SplatterDom does come with a lid that fits snuggly on the smaller side. It also has a venting hole to let steam out. It’s so handy. I really like the lid feature on this.
You can also use the it in the microwave. Place it onto a bowl to prevent those nasty splatters you get from warming up food. Because the SplatterDom is height adjustable, it can fit in a variety of spaces.
Another feature of it is that it folds flat for storage. This is a great feature because it doesn’t take up a ton of space in a cabinet or drawer.
