woom Bikes Are Designed To Be Lightweight and Easy To Ride
If you’ve ever taught a child how to ride a bike, you’ve probably noticed that kids’ bikes don’t exactly fit their little bodies. For instance, the seat is too tall, the handlebars are too far forward, or the pedals wobble too much. Since no one child is the same, kids’ bikes shouldn’t be “one size fits all.”. When the weather is warmer, my daughter rides her bike regularly. Riding bikes is one of our favorite things to do as a family, so I was on a mission. On a mission to find the perfect bike for my 7-year-old daughter and succeeded. woom bikes are ergonomically designed for kids, making their ride comfortable and easy.
At woom Bikes, they have a simple theory- the best riding experience starts with the best bike. For kids, that means a bike that’s lightweight and easy to ride. One that is intentionally designed and built for them, not just a smaller version of an adult bike. After completing a simple 45-second quiz, woom can suggest what bikes will be a great fit for your child. They have bikes designed for beginners and for the most advanced riders. The woom 4 came highly recommended for my daughter, and they got it right.
About woom Bikes
Founded in 2013 in a garage in Vienna by Marcus Ihlenfeld and Christian Bezdeka – both dads and both mad about bikes – woom has now blossomed into an international company. They are represented in 30 countries, including Austria, Germany and Switzerland. As well as the Scandinavian countries, Spain, France, Italy and elsewhere. woom also has a presence in the USA and China.
Their company’s story began with the decision of two bike-mad dads, Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, to develop a bike for their kids that would perfectly fit the proportions and riding behavior of children.
The woom 4
An innovative and ultralight 20″ children’s bike with 7 gears designed for all-round use by children aged 6 years and over. The woom 4 introduces children aged six years to the world of gear-shifting. The bike’s seven speeds in combination with the easy-to-operate twist shifter expand the bike’s range of use and increase the child’s mobility. Whether they want to ride their bikes into the woods or up hills – the new-found freedom of gears make longer adventures on two wheels child’s play.
Upon opening the box, my husband and I were impressed with the overall quality. The design is sleek, and it just makes sense. While assembling this bike, we were awed by the meticulous design of the bike. As each part came together, it was obvious how much statistical research and knowledge of the child’s anatomy was put into each bike design. In other words, the woom 4 is the perfect fit for my 7 -year-old daughter in many ways. She can hop on and ride off easily and doesn’t want to stop pedaling.
The woom 4 is her first bike with different gears and breaks on the handlebars. She loves both features because they are easy to use. I think the most noteworthy part of the bike for both of us is the kickstand. It goes up and down effortlessly, unlike other bikes we’ve had. The handlebar grips are comfortable and keep her hands secure on the bike. One of the most key features of the bike to us is the seat. My daughter no longer complains about the seat being too hard or uncomfortable. Overall, the woom 4 is an exceptional bike for kids and feeds their love for riding.
For a bike engineered with your child in mind, check out woom and see which bike best fits your child. My family and I love to jump on our bikes and go for strolls around the neighborhood and even some long trails. The woom 4 is tremendous for short easy rides or long and bumpy ones. I love having a bike that is durable enough to keep up with my daughter and one that can grow with her too.
