We all have feelings about the things we use daily. While we may enjoy telling our friends and family what we think, there are ways for our opinions to be compensated.
This can take the form of being a member of a study group or take the form of monetizing a blog post. Because we all have opinions, why not use them to help others make purchasing decisions?
Product Testing Study Groups
We have all seen ads online for product testing. Companies love to bring in individuals to sample products and give their opinions. In some cases, companies want to test whether their products or services work.
When it comes to study groups, we might be asked to try a new flavor of candy or watch an episode of a new show. We might also be asked to have our blood pressure checked or be part of personal care product testing.
In some cases, we will be instructed to go to a central location, while in other cases, products can be sent directly to our homes. If we have some free time product testing can be well worth our while.
Consumer Surveys
Businesses value our honest opinions on their goods and services. This can sometimes take the form of being given a device and being required to scan every item we purchase.
In other cases, after making a purchase, we are occasionally sent customer satisfaction surveys. This can also take the form of online surveys where we are asked to compare two advertisements. We are then might be asked to choose the one we believe is the easiest to grasp.
We sometimes get points for completing surveys, and other times we get gift cards for our time and effort. While some of these programs may take some time to complete, enrolling in one makes a lot of sense. If we could win prizes or even gift cards for our opinions, why wouldn’t we?
Blogging Our Views
It’s never too late for us to start making money from a blog or website if we already have one or are thinking about starting one. A blog can be monetized in a variety of ways.
Ads
Advertising can provide a consistent revenue stream for our online content as a blog publisher. Advertisers are willing to pay to have their message seen by our target audience. The greater the popularity of our site and content, the more money we will be able to earn.
Affiliate Links
When we include a link in our content to a product or service for sale on another website, we earn a commission on the sale. This can be a viable revenue model for blogs with an engaged audience of people interested in product recommendations.
There are numerous opportunities to promote affiliate products in informational, how-to, and lifestyle articles, such as a post about healthy snacks and goodies.
Subscriptions
A paid membership or subscription model is another way to monetize our valuable content if our blog has an active community of readers who want to learn more about our topic.
In this business model, readers pay a fixed amount on a regular basis, typically monthly or annually. By charging readers a membership or subscription fee in this manner, we can generate recurring income.
The ability to generate continuous cash flow has the potential to provide a more stable, predictable, and accurate revenue stream. In exchange, we may offer subscribers or members premium content, a community area, learning resources, videos, or additional services and tools.
Several of these elements could be combined to make our blog more suitable. No matter what type of blog we write there is an opportunity to create a subscription.
Online Courses
If our blog lends itself to training services, we may be able to earn money by developing and selling online courses or coaching packages. When we create self-guided teaching materials such as videos or downloadable eBooks, we allow members of our audience to proceed at their own pace.
As people progress through our course, we can gauge their interest in other topics. Developing an online curriculum can take a significant amount of time and resources at the outset, so we will need a committed audience to make it a viable option.
