School is back in and that means there will be special occasions. There are holidays, birthdays and teacher gifts that will need to be addressed. I’ve always fumbled when it comes to gifting. I’m always looking for a memorable gift to give teachers and acquaintances. Recently, I’ve been introduced to Musical Carousel and honestly, I’ve fell in love with them.

Growing up, I was always jealous of the girls who had the ballerina jewelry box where the little figurine spins while music is coming from some internal mechanism. What surprised me most with Music Box Attic is the quality and the massive selections they offer. There are so many styles and colors. They also have boxes that you can choose your own music to play. Some of them have gotten high tech. They even carry parts for music boxes, should you build your own or you need a replacement part.
World’s Fair Style Animated Musical Carousel
I have a very young granddaughter and she’s discovering the world and all it has to offer. She really likes to watch bright lights and movements. When I saw the sweet Musical Carousel, I knew she had to have it. It has bright lights, a beautiful melody and as it spins, she gets seriously hypnotized. She really loves it.
The melody that the carousel plays is “Castle in the Skies”. This sweet sound captivates you and the bright animated lights catches the attention of everyone in the room.

As I grew up, the want for the little ballerina jewelry box wasn’t as strong. You know, I wanted the grown up jewelry box. But why don’t adult jewelry boxes play music? Well, I know now, they can!
Music Box Attic has the largest variety of music boxes I’ve ever seen. So, it wasn’t too much of a surprise when I found the most perfect box for me. This modern, matte finished wood music jewelry box is big enough that I can store my jewelry, small enough to fit on a shelf or dresser, and its sleek enough to be a conversation starter.
But, what I love the most about the Musical Carousel is that it plays music when you wind up the key. Even better, I was able to pick out the song I wanted it to play! Now with some of the music boxes, you can add your own custom music, but when I ordered mine, I chose the song from Cinderella, “A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes”.
My Thoughts
To tell you that Music Box Attic impresses me is an understatement. I remember buying a box for my daughter when she was little and it didn’t excite her, but I’ve always loved them. The pieces that has been brought into my home makes me smile and remember wonderful things about my childhood that I hope to share with my granddaughter when she gets older. For now, I’ll have to start with the whimsical carousel and see where that takes us.
