Plants make a home warmer, cozier and friendlier. I was born with a less than green thumb and have no idea how to keep plants alive. Sometimes you just need some help. Daisy Rain Garden and Sky Pots will make any porch or patio homey. They also make wonderful gifts for anyone who enjoys gardening.
Sky Pots
Sky Pots are these neat little fittings that turn regular plant pots into a hanging piece of art. The idea for Sky Pots came from a 2016 DIY project featured in Homes & Gardens Magazine. Connecting pots together with threaded rods, chains and bolts. The company was developed and offer high quality connector kits that allow you to hang anywhere from one to three pots neatly making stylish vertical gardens.
My Experience
I was given a two pot kit. This kit allowed me to connect two pots for hanging. The local home improvement store has a discount rack of plants and since plants tend to perish around me I figured they could live given the right care.
Hanging on my porch, they are so pretty and by the morning after they were planted, they looked healthier and happier. I personally love this idea of attaching pots to each other to make a vertical piece. It’s very unique and has prompted my neighbors to ask about it.
Daisy Rain Garden Systems
As mentioned above, I kill many plants. If there was a most wanted list for plant killers, I’d be on it. So when I was introduced to the Daisy Rain Garden System, excitement was my natural reaction. This kit comes with everything you need to connect three large pots to each other and keep them fully hydrated by a water drip system.
About Daisy Rain Garden Systems
The idea of a self sustainable watering garden is not a new one, but this design is. I like the idea of the individual pots because I haven’t had any luck with planting vegetables and flowers in the ground. The hose is connected to another connecting hose that regulates the water disbursement. There is no reservoir to worry about, just the water from your average garden hose.
My Experience
In one pot I planted pretty flowers and in another I planted tomato plants. The third was going to get seeds planted but I believe it will house a few squash plants. My sister just gave me some and I’ve had success with them in the past when I planted them in a raised bed.
Raised or potted gardens are easy to maintain and clean out. The best part, deer normally don’t come onto my porch to snack on my fresh plants. I can easily fertilize and take care of them when they are on the porch or back deck.
My Thoughts
Both of these kits are easy to assemble and can be done in an afternoon. Sky Pots and Daisy Rain Garden Systems will make any porch or patio homey. They also make wonderful gifts for anyone who enjoys gardening. I was able to assemble and plant everything in a few hours. I did have all of my planting supplies together and waiting on my attention.
If you are looking for a gift for someone in your life that loves the outdoors or gardening, these two products are very easily ordered and make amazing gifts. Mother’s and Father’s Days are coming up and honestly, these unique kits will make anyone happy.
