Are you ready for some Spring joy and delight? With the start of a new season, I’m happy to introduce you to two amazing women of color who are helping change the face of toys and education for children.

Brown Toy Box and The World of EPI, both toy companies founded by visionary Black female entrepreneurs each on their own mission to develop toys for diversity and inclusion.

Brown Toy Box

Terri-Nichelle Bradley, the creator of Brown Toy Box, seeks to normalize Black excellence and cultivate curiosity and passion. With the creation of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) focused kits, she helps kids of all backgrounds immerse in the learning experience and feel personally represented.Ms. Bradley has introduced us to the world of “The Dadisi Crew”, including Makayla (Museum Arts), Oscar (Marine Biology), Amara (Chemistry), Maya (Coding), Dre (Astronomy) & Justin (Robotics). Students taught by Mwalimu Tommie, the crew each has their own unique creative persona and interests. The Brown Toy Box offers exploratory kits from each character that allows kids to delve into a world of curiosity, science and educational wonder. If you have a little on interested in with a curious interest in sciences, or want to introduce them to them, these kits are perfect way to explore different sciences that help them learn more. There are six different kits available, including:

Each kit comes with colorful instructions and interactive projects and tools needed to explore deeper into the scientific world of your choice and give kids an easy and first hand look at how things work.
