Flowerpot Snowman Craft
Materials needed:
Flowerpot, Paper Mache – Craft Store
Buttons – Black, Two
Ribbon – Plaid or Striped
Acrylic Craft Paint – White, Black, Pink
Paintbrush
Felt – Scrap of Orange
Pearls – Red, Self-Adhesive
Holly Leaves
Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Permanent Black Marker
Scissors
How to make this cute Flowerpot Snowman Craft:
STEP ONE
Gather all supplies. Paint the inside and base of the flowerpot with white acrylic craft paint. Paint the band of the flowerpot with black acrylic craft paint. Apply second coats of paint, if necessary and then set aside to dry. A paper mache flowerpot was used for this craft because it won’t break if dropped, but you can use a clay or terra pot for this craft as well.
STEP TWO
Apply a rosy cheek to snowman with light pink acrylic craft paint diluted with a bit of water.
STEP THREE
Cut an irregular triangle from orange craft felt and apply to center of flowerpot with a glue gun and glue sticks. Use orange craft foam or even construction paper, if you don’t have felt. Draw a smile on the snowman with a permanent black marker.
STEP FOUR
Attach two large black buttons above the snowman’s nose. If you don’t have black buttons, use wiggle eyes, black craft felt or craft foam. TIP: Paint colored buttons with acrylic craft apint to match any project.
STEP FIVE
Measure and cut decorative ribbon to fit around the band of the flowerpot and then attach with a glue gun and glue sticks.
STEP SIX
To finish, apply three red pearls to ribbon hat band and glue on a green holly leaf. Use buttons or rhinestones for berries and cut holly leaves from green craft felt or decorative paper.
