Back-To-School with our Favorite Kids Brands
About MCubed Backpacks
MCubed Backpacks was founded by Mary, a school teacher of 10+ years in Southern California. Our story began when her oldest son started preschool. After searching for days looking for the perfect first backpack, Mary became frustrated with the options available on Amazon and other websites. Most looked too childish, too cheesy, or too cheap. The branded ones that were attractive were way above the price point she was willing to spend on a child’s backpack. She just wanted something that looked stylish (to match his cute outfits), good quality (decent stitching and made of safe materials), be comfortable (more than just a thin strap to cushion his small body), and be the perfect size (big enough to fit standard-sized papers and folders yet not too big that it would feel overwhelming). I mean, was that too much to ask? Well, maybe not, but Mary wanted more options for parents that felt the same way. So, as teacher gone mompreneur, she decided to create her own. And the rest is history.
About Bunnies By The Bay
We grew up on Fidalgo Island on the West Coast of North America, surrounded by the tulip fields of Washington State and the waters of the Pacific Ocean. Like many fishing families we knew the wonders, the joys, and, yes, the power of the sea. In 1983 we lost fourteen men and their two crab boats in the Bering Sea. The men included our Father, Uncle and Cousin, lost in this fishing tragedy that devastated our entire community. In the months that followed, our Gram, a seamstress, comforted us with stories about bunnies who lived in her garden. Sitting in her sewing circle, these tales helped to mend our broken hearts and soothed us to sleep at night. Soon we started making up our own adventures and sewing cloth characters to make our stories come alive. Fidalgo became “Cricket Island” and our imaginary friends were modeled on the brave people around us. Almost four decades later we are still making our bunnies, and we remain on “Cricket Island” where our stories began. Our haven is a world of fishing, whale watching, and tulip growing, beautiful in so many ways.
Cricket Island Characters come to life in the eyes of everyone who meets them. The Bunnies By The Bay includes collections fit for babies and kids. Shop gender neutral baby gifts, personalized keepsakes, and even dolls that will grow with your favorite family. We fell n love with our Daisy doll and Wee Bruce the moose as soon as we layed on eyes on the adorable characters. They make great cuddly friends and accompany many make believe stories for hours on end.
From the Pretty Girl Collection this 15 inch doll is knit with the sweetest features and can go from baby’s first doll to the perfect birthday or holiday gift heirloom.
Wee Bruce the Moose
Soft furry moose with antlers, ears and hooves still perfect for snuggling.
Long before zero-waste living was making headlines, U-Konserve was creating products to help people live a zero-waste lifestyle. The company was founded by two friends who believed that small changes can have a huge impact on the global movement to protect our planet. After the birth of her daughter, Chance Claxton became increasingly concerned about the environment and wanted to make it easy for parents to reduce the plastic baggies, juice boxes and packaged foods piling up in landfills. In 2008 the founders created the first zero-waste lunch kit for elementary schools, and the new venture was born. The innovative lunch kits spurred an entirely new lifestyle for thousands of families looking to tread lightly on the planet. The reusable concept caught on, and more products were developed. What started as a resource for school children quickly became a full line of zero-waste food-storage essentials for the whole family at home and on the go. After more than a decade of growth and transition, the same goals that helped launch their message of reuse still guide the company today. As a Certified B Corporation and member of 1% for the Planet, the company is using business for good by creating a positive impact for employees, communities and the environment. The initial mission to protect the planet has grown into a lifestyle of reusing more, wasting less, and raising awareness about the exciting and growing movement to reduce single-use plastic.

About DINO BARS
DINO BARS is a brand of the Functional Food Company, a small family-owned business owned and managed by Jessica and Ian Saultz. They believe in the positive effects of eating healthy, and want to provide like-minded parents with a healthy snack for their kids. Born and raised in Germany, Jessica grew up with a backyard full of fresh fruit and vegetables. She married Ian, an American, and their journey together began; fueling each other’s desire to live healthy lives through fitness and nutrition. The story of DINO BARS begins with the birth of their first child, Liam. Shortly after introducing solid food to Liam, they realized that he couldn’t tolerate refined sugars. They had always emphasized the importance of homemade food and snacks, but they needed an option for the busy times in life. Luckily, in Germany, there was a large variety of sugar-free, store-bought snacks for their son. Fast forward a couple of years, after the birth of their second child, June, the family of four moved from Germany back to the US. Ian started a new job in sales while Jessica stayed home with the kids. Disappointed with the kids snack selection here, Jessica started making snacks for their kids. The snack bars were an instant favorite among kids and parents alike. Jessica and Ian decided to put everything they had into making these amazing and nutritious snacks available to parents across the country. DINO BARS are produced in Charleston, South Carolina and are shipped anywhere within the US.
Starting our kids off with a healthy snack is the single most important part of stepping into a healthy lifestyle.
