RocketFire is a small startup business that was created after experiencing the frustrations of trying to get a grill to light. More than 60 million grills were produced without built-in fire starters, and while there are standalone options available, they don’t always work. Founder Michael Berard was tired of spending money on products that weren’t getting the job done, so he set out to create the fastest fire starter possible. RocketFire is the result.

Have you ever experienced the frustration of trying to get a fire going? Kindling has to be perfectly dry to really get things going, and starter squares and lighter fluid are filled with chemicals. If you want to go from zero to s’mores (or sirloin) in seconds, you know traditional fire starters aren’t the way. In fact, it can take up to 15 minutes to ignite and get a steady flame going.
RocketFire was created with grills and smokers like the Big Green Egg in mind, but it works perfectly for any charcoal or wood pellet grill. It’s also ideal for fire pits, bonfires and wood fireplaces. The 17-inch torch wand ensures you’re a safe distance away from the flames.
Tri-Flame Tip
Hear the roar of the flames coming from the tri-flame tip. A simple press of the one-click ignition and RocketFire roars to life. It’s power is undeniable. The tri-flame design propels 2000ºF flames in a 60-degree spread at the center of the wood bed or charcoal pile. The tip can also be removed for a single 10” flame, perfect for finishing off meats that were sous vide or caramelizing the top of a creme brûlée.
Flexible Fuel Sources
Most fire starters on the market require electrical power like batteries or are large and bulky. They can’t be taken camping and aren’t convenient for everyday use. RocketFire uses standard fuel choices, including camping propane fuel canisters or MAPP gas, both of which are readily available at national retail stores. A single fuel canister will last between 50 and 70 uses, too!
