If the thought of you needing some specific skill set in order to work from home has always scared you, you’ve probably never even considered finding such a job. One that’s going to let you work from the comfort of your own home while making a decent amount of money. Sounds too good to be true? It’s really not.
In today’s job landscape, there are far too many jobs for you to choose from. Many of them are incredibly profitable, and many of them are so simple anyone can do them. As an example, you can start streaming on a very popular cam site. It’s easy, anyone can do it, and it’s incredibly profitable. But we’ll admit, it’s not for everyone due to the nature of the job.
That being said, here are jobs that anyone can do, which will boost your income quite a bit!

Data Entry
We’re kicking things off with arguably one of the easiest work-from-home jobs, and one that can pay quite well if you land the right client. Data entry is all about searching for information and then getting it into a presentable form so your client has a good overview of it and can easily find the things they need.
When it comes to your skill set, all that’s required is for you to be good with finding information. Here’s an example – your client wants to have the contact information for 100 companies in their industry. They give you the companies’ names, and then it’s your job to find the contact info, whether that’s a phone number or an email, and put it in an organized spreadsheet. That’s it – it really is that simple.
The downside is that when you’re starting off, data entry doesn’t pay too much. It requires you to get proficient and be able to deliver accurate information to your clients before you can make a significant amount of money. But once you get there, you’ll love it.
Virtual Assistant
Another job you can ease into is working as a virtual assistant. We’d recommend that you start off with a single client until you get the hang of it, and then you can start working for more people if you want to boost your income (and if you have the time to dedicate to it).
Working as a virtual assistant will have you doing a myriad of things for your clients. From organizing their daily schedule in terms of meetings and things they need to do to setting up appointments and making reservations and even organizing their travel schedule. This all depends on the specific client, and there are some that will require you to do more or some that will require you to do less.
When it comes to the potential income, as a virtual assistant you’re getting paid by the hour. At first, you might not make too much, but as you progress and when you’re able to do more things for your clients, your hourly rate will grow. And then there’s the fact that if you have enough time, you can always start working for multiple clients, which is a neat way to make more money.
Transcriptionist
Another job that’s always in demand is a transcriptionist. It’s a job that only requires you to have good hearing and the patience to get things done right, which is something most of us possess. It’s also a job that often pays by the minute, so being able to dedicate more time to your job will make your income grow exponentially.

As a transcriptionist, you’re basically a professional typist who listens to recorded (or live) audio and then types it, converting it into a readable text format. The more minutes of audio you transcribe, the more you’ll get paid, which is why we said it pays a lot to dedicate time to your job.
Starting off, you’ll want to go with recorded audio. This will let you ease into the job by being able to rewind back to hear something more carefully and take your time if your typing speed isn’t too fast. Once you’re confident you can get things right on the first try, you can give live transcription a shot.
A transcriptionist’s services are oftentimes required in various industries, such as the medical and the legal industries, but these are rather difficult to do from home. On the other hand, there is a lot of regular transcription that you can do for various clients, which pays handsomely and you can do it from home.
Now that you have a few options to choose from, which one of the aforementioned work-from-home jobs seems like the right fit for you? Do you make a hefty amount of money researching your clients’ competitors and doing data entry, or do you help them schedule their day-to-day as a VA? Or is transcription your passion? Your call.
