Snickers Muddy Buddies
Make one of my favorite snacks with caramel, chocolate and peanut butter! YUM!
Ingredients
- 9 cups Chex Cereal
- 1/4 cup Salted Peanuts
- 1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/4 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/4 cup Caramel Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups Powdered Icing Sugar
Instructions
Measure the Chex cereal and salted peanuts out into a large bowl and set aside.
Measure the powdered icing sugar into a large ziptop bag and set aside.
In a medium-sized, microwave-safe bowl, place the chocolate chips.
Heat for 30 seconds, stir well, and reheat as needed. Once the chocolate chips are completely melted, stir in the caramel sauce and optional peanut butter. You can carefully reheat the mixture for 20 seconds if it becomes hard to stir.
Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal mixture and stir to combine.
Once the cereal and peanuts are coated completely in the chocolate mixture, scoop half of the mixture into the prepared ziptop bag. Seal shut and shake well to coat the cereal in powdered sugar.
Place the coated cereal on a lined baking sheet and then repeat with remaining half of the cereal.
Allow chocolate to set completely before storing or serving, about 30 minutes.
