Corn Dog Ingredients:
- 1 cup corn meal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 package of beef frankfurters / I cut them in half
- 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
- wooden skewers
Corn Dog Instructions;
Preheat the oil over medium heat.
Insert wooden skewers into frankfurters. Make sure they are dry.
In a medium bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, sugar and baking powder.
Stir in egg and milk.
Roll frankfurters in batter until well coated.
Fry 3 or 4 corn dogs (depends on the size of your pan) at a time until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Let cool on paper towels and enjoy.
Serve with honey mustard.
