This Spring and Summer ditch the video games and play an interactive tabletop game. Blinks is the world’s first smart tabletop game system, with AI powered game pieces that are intelligent. They respond to touch and can communicate with one another. Now your family can play together around the table for some fun bonding moments. Plus because these cool game pieces light up, you can even play in the dark!
This novel game is the creation of Move38, a new kind of game company. They build toys and tools for creativity, that will help shape the way we think. Moves38 creates beautifully designed hands on products that will make you think. Blinks is their most recent game. Each individual Blinks has its own game. The piece is able to teach its game to the other pieces, and in the same manner learn all the other games. The players decide which game, push that Blinks, then connect it to the rest. They will communicate and light up, changing colors when they are through learning.
Blinks is a really cool game system. Each little hexagon is its very own game. The set we have consists of nine different games, with the ability to add more down the line. Since they are modular, the more you have the bigger game experiences you can create. Plus the more games you have to pick from. Each game has instructions to tell you how many Blinks you need and how to play. My niece likes playing Wham which is a game where you have to quickly hit the hexagons that turn red. If you aren’t quick enough, you lose, and have to begin again. She lost a lot, but I know she had fun. Most noteworthy is she was practicing hand eye coordination and using her brain.
My husband loves DarkBall, because it reminds him of the old game where you lob a pixelated ball back and forth. Here you make a straight line, or you can come off with another few pieces and make three ends. Then you hit one end to send a light ball surging towards the other player. They have to hit their side quick or they will miss the ball. After so many misses you loose. I love Zen Flow which is just a light color changing game. You tap, double tap, or hold one piece and it changes how the rest react. It sends waves of color, and some other neat effects.
When you are done playing they will shut off to conserve battery after ten minutes. Once you are done, you can wrap them up in their cute little sushi roll cases for easy storage and travel. No bulky box to store or carry around. They stay wrapped up because of magnets. That is also how they connect to one another. Blinks will entertain all ages and is especially fun in the dark.
Are you ready for a smart game?
