Crumble Topping Ingredients
- ¼ C unsalted sweet cream butter, melted
- ½ C powdered sugar
- ⅓ C flour
- ¼ C Hershey cocoa powder
Toppings Directions
Using a medium bowl, melt the butter
Using a fork, whisk in the powdered sugar, flour, and cocoa powder until sandy coarse mixture forms
Set aside
Chocolate Cake Ingredients:
- ½ C unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- ¾ C sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- ¼ C fresh brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 C sour cream
- 1 ½ C flour
- ½ C hershey cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp kosher salt
Cake Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 a spray a 9×9 baking dish with pam baking spray
Using a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt
Using a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until creamy and fluffy
Beat in the egg until combined
Beat in the sour cream, coffee, and vanilla until combined and smooth
Gradually beat in the dry ingredients until combined
Pour batter into the baking dish
Bake in the oven for 30-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Allow to cool completely
Chocolate ganache ingredients:
- ½ C heavy whipping cream
- 1 C semi sweet chocolate chips
Chocolate Ganache Directions:
Using a small pot, bring the cream to a boil
Pour over the chocolate chips in a medium bowl and whisk till smooth
Topping the cake Directions:
Pour the ganache over the cake and smooth evenly
Top with crumble and dust with powdered sugar
