My Thoughts
This activity kit is a great way to jump start learning to code. It contains everything needed to not only learn the basics, but quickly move on to more advanced activities. Setup was easy. Our seven year old was zipping the Sphero around in just a few minutes. Of course the trial and error was a hoot and had everyone laughing.
I really like that a child can figure this out on their own. Being technology challenged, I was not a lot of help. I was in charge of setting up the course, which in hind sight, was not overly complicated.
Colton was able to master the course in no time. He thought it was a cool game. High praise from a seven year old. Dad also took a hand at running the courses Colton layed out in the app. Personally, I think Colton mastered it faster than dad!
As much fun as we all had with the Sphero, the fact that our little one was learning while having fun was perfect. There are so many things in life that we need to learn that aren’t any fun. So when we can find activities that are engaging and educational – sign me up.
