Task Lighting

Under this type of lighting would be your desk area as well as the above mentioned bathroom or kitchen. The closer the light is to sunlight, the better you will be able to see what you are doing. This level of lighting also helps you to stay alert and focused on the task at hand. Nothing tires you out more than eye strain especially when working on a screen for hours at a time.

Accent Lighting

Under this type of lighting would be the areas that you want to highlight or decorate. They can also be additional lighting when needed or used to provide light when the other fixtures are not in use. These would also include dimmable lights to set the mood or bring your eyes to a focal point.
