DIY Felt Birdhouse Bookmarks
Materials Needed:
Makes a set of 3 felt birdhouse bookmarks
Felt sheet or scraps (any coordinating colors of your choosing)
Large Wooden Craft Sticks
Fabric scissors
Printable Birdhouse template
Glue gun with clear glue sticks
How to make these cute Felt Birdhouse Bookmarks:
1. Gather supplies.
2. Print off paper template HERE or by clicking the image above.
Cutting the Patterns:
3. Place one of the birdhouse pattern pieces over top of felt sheets in the color of your choosing.
4. Using fabric scissors, cut along the solid lines to cut out the birdhouse pieces.
Assembling the Felt Pieces:
5. Preheat the hot glue gun.
6. Position both sides of the birdhouse pattern facing opposite directions.
7. Carefully glue the smaller felt pieces (the roof, the scalloped trim, and circle shapes) to the large felt birdhouse piece pressing in place.
8. Repeat on the reverse side.
9. Flip one side of the birdhouse over so the wrong side is facing up and glue the top of the popsicle stick piece to the center.
10. Glue the other side of the birdhouse sandwiching the stick in between.
11. Trim any excess felt edges that are misaligned.
12. Repeat for the other birdhouse patterns.
13. Mark your place in a book and enjoy!
